The rain steadily tapped against the window: a patient, familiar rhythm that filled the room without asking for attention.
Whisper sat curled at the small table, both hands wrapped around a warm mug, steam curling up to brush her nose. The world outside blurred into shadows and light, softened by glass and distance.
Her feline companion balanced on the edge of the table, curious and insistent, reaching out with a paw to inspect whatever Whisper was holding.
She just smiled at it, giving it the occasional nudge of indifference. There were no missions tonight. No assassinations planned- and if there were, she was not involved- at least not yet. No schedules tonight. No reason to rush.
Just warmth, quiet, and the comfort of being exactly where she’s meant to be.
Time keeps moving. Tomorrow waits patiently on the other side of sleep, though she was in no rush to greet the next day.
Nonetheless, her mind wandered to tomorrow: will it be kind? Will it be slow?
Either way, she will greet it rested, with steady breath and soft resolve~
This seemed like an appropriate piece to end- or start, the new year with. What better way to wind down the year than a quiet evening relaxing at home? Trust me, that is exactly what I will be doing tonight and I am quite content doing so :)
Last piece I will be posting for 2025- even though I got it months ago; do not judge. Busy wolfcat has a life outside of fa, haha
An absolutely gorgeous piece by: talilly. They have drawn Whisper before and always do such a wonderful job; I highly recommend watching them if you are not already~
