Looks like Kovu's seen something he likes. What's this cat going to do to you?

A few days ago I happened across a journal entry by  TasVault (aka  Tasanko). I don't often read journals, but I do peruse them occasionally.

This one was offering some pictures to by done for practice, asking for volunteers to undergo said treatment.

I figured what the heck, and threw my name into the hat.

By random(?) chance, my name came out of said hat first. What came out was far beyond what I could have expected. I love the direct on view, the piercing gaze. Straight on shots like this are hard to draw well. Perspective and shadowing get all wonky. I love the shading, the implied light source, and dark and light side to his muzzle.

All in all far beyond what I'd expect for offering my name/character up for some "free" artwork practice.
