One thing that creeps up now and again with the morphs in this setting are mild birth defects, resulting in varied colouring or certain proportioning differences. Thought to be a result from the fusing of human DNA it's so far not caused any health issues having been long ironed out from the decades of research on the morph process itself. But well there are a few head-turners on the streets, such as Domonique here. Her baby colouring having never faded nor did she develop any of the plating and ridging that is expected of a Kangaskhan.

Gojinkas black scales are put down to this as well. As for the connection between these two, well the Charmeleon there should hopefully be known as the youngest Valour sibling. But among his many facets is the love of gaming among the biggest when he was but a youthful morph of a Mander he would play the Morph island hit Huma-mon. Being a parody game of suprising depth it drew many gamers out of the fledgling population and Domonique was one of them who would go up against Gojinka at the first Huma-mon tournament. While all fell before his carefully raised team of Self-delusional Communications Sanitation Late-shift Supervisor, Lower upper human resources assistant director and Comb-Over Crooked Car Dealer it was not a bitter event... well there are always some sore losers, but Domonique the sheltered Kangaskhan-morph was one who took it with a smile and had enough fun to actually make a real greeting with Gojinka.

The two became pretty gradual friends, somewhat hampered by Domoniques immense shyness due to being mocked and bullied in school for retaining the baby colours of her species along with an ass that flumphed into vastness at twelve. But Gojinka being the energetic little runt that he was back then dedicated ever more time to their relationship and managed to be the first trusted guy to get a kiss. The two aren't sure just how that situation of boyfriend and girlfriend ended, there was no moment they decided on being broken up it was more a gradual thing of seeming to forget about romance... or simply not really knowing about it, being the earliest of teens and after a few pecks and hugs they went back to their gaming and enjoyment of each others company.

When Gojinka vanished from Morph Island to do his own secretive worldy trek through slums and wilds, to expand his horizons. Domonique found herself at a bit of a loss, he was the one guy she'd made a connection to and as the year progressed she entered high-school and a whole new hormonal battle-field for leering eyes and snort-riddled laughter on pointing out that she was damn bottom-heavy. But being plopped down with a hand-held, well it can cause a crowd of like-minded folk to show up and steadily Domonique made the friends she'd never ventured to get before. Though retaining a secret little smile each time the others made a comment about the black scaled Charmander kid that was Huma-mon 2s male trainer. Quite the reward for a champ.

But while her social graces developed and Domonique got to enjoy her own juvenile colouring as making her all the more distinct, it was still featureless baggy hoodies and loose trousers when out and about. Not enough time had passed to shatter the introverted shell that only opened for Gojinka. But hey, things change, specially when meeting those friends of a friend and becoming part of a welcoming group.
