If I ever have anything to produce, that is. Give that pig a cigar! God, I love that movie. (And I'm not tellin' its name, at least not yet.)
I heard Seuss didn't care for it, but for me it captures his spirit 100 times better than any of the recent animated or (yeccch!) those live-action versions from a few years ago.

I think he just hated the experience of making it and having to butt heads with executive meddling and the studio system that just didn't *get* what he was doing (they made him put in things like the red smoke as the obligatory anti-communist symbolim of the times). He produced far better work, in his opinion, with a smaller, closer-knit studio team alongside creative thinkers like Chuck Jones and Friz Freleng.
