Misunderstood beauty, religious horror... I think there is more to this piece of work than science fiction. The thing cannot sophisticatedly feast upon what it may be sustained with, nor can it communicate, I would imagine, without repulsive dissonance from overlapped vocals. The faintest pity is given towards it.
