chose Bateleur over Apollo because I'm from a cajun family, and french is just sort of peppered into our names and shit for spice.

mostly, he's just good at "juggling" his responsibilities: working well under pressure, multi-tasking, convincing others of his competence (even if he isn't very confident, himself), and picking up new skills. A jack of all trades, master of none.
I even manage to make ponies overly symbolic.

though, I like traditional unicorns better, so he has an accurate tail and cloven hooves.
