I was having a hard time sleeping last night, and I decided to try one of those strategies my therapist recommended, and get up and do something. Unfortunately with the baby asleep in the same room as my computer, and no doors in the whole damn place, I couldn’t use my PC or do anything loud. I was going to just doodle on my thinkpad, but I’m still mad at Sketchbook Pro’s inability to save brush settings(seriously, why did I even buy that if it’s not capable of the most basic of shit. I bought that so I could do sketch commissions on the go. So stupid.)
So I did this! Traditional art is always really relaxing, but I was surprised to find that I’m a bit rusty. Need some practice. >_>
Anyway, 0.03mm pencil, Fabercastel pen/brush pen and Prismacolor marker for the yellow parts. On 4 x 4” ClayBord panel.

I was wondering how things have been for you, while baby is around and trying to draw....... I feel lucky to have my own space to work on artwork--it's just hard to not keep getting up every time I hear one little noise from the baby... *___*;

You pretty much summed it up. ^^' I'm lucky if I can keep my place clean with a baby around. I entirely rely on other people to take him for me if I want to work on art. :c Which is why I am so heinously inactive lately. If no one is taking care of him but me, I just don't draw. I could draw after he sleeps, but it would be a really bad idea. It leaves me extremely tired for the next few days.
So I can only do art if I have a babysitter, or if I can't sleep anyway and it won't wake him up to draw. :P
