Kyle has commissioned me to design an entirely new character design for himself. Kyle is now known as Hazen and is a Draolf, this Draolf is without wings. This might be a piece to a ref sheet in the future. For now, you can hope to run into this handsome devil sporting this pinup as a badge at a convention.
Hazen : Yes, I've now got a new fursona, Hazen the wolf/dragon hybrid! Wonderfully illustrated by Haku, Hazen is going to slowly replace Kyle out as my primary fursona.
I've already been asked a number of times about why a change of characters. In short, I've had Kyle as my fursona for a long time, at least five years, if not more. As nice as he is, there's been an itch in the back of my mind for the longest time about his design. With as many original characters out there, Kyle was, in my own eye, at least, growing just a tad stale.
I wanted a fursona that was a bit more... radical, in a sense. Just something more unique than a plain black wolf with brown hair. And, I was slightly tired of just using my real name as my fursona's name. I know I'm not the only one to have done it, but I wanted a name for my fursona himself. So, Hazen is the embodiment of all of that.
Anyway, so yeah! I've taken a few design elements from different sources of inspiration, and Haku brought them together wonderfully in a way he and I both found to be original and, frankly, hawt. <3 Being an aquarian, I'm plenty drawn to water, and with his thick, almost ottery tail I could see Hazen swimming briskly through a lake. The horns on his cheeks are actually swept back, slightly hydrodynamic I suppose. :P Haku also helped out tremendously with the naming. I'm suckish with names, thus why my previous fursona just shared my RL name XD
I can NOT wait to get a fursuit of this guy someday.
