Atheris chlorechis and Atheris hispida are not the same snake. They are both vipers, yes, but it is not a 'hairy' viper.

My point was, there's TONS of people here with characters that have parts or don't have parts that are typical of the species in real life. It's part of creativity in this fandom.

I'd like to think a Huma/snake mix can have just about whatever parts of the human and whatever parts of the snake it wants. This is the whole idea of anthopomorphizing things. Hence the human legs and body. If this is the case, it's not a snake because of the upper torso.
It's called fantasy for a reason. She doesn't have to stay inside of some box for "creating characters."

I don't think they should, and I made a comment about that. I never said they -couldn't- do it. They simply could have ignored it and gone on with their day, instead of fighting with me over it. They, and most of the others here, are taking all of this much too seriously. I, in all honesty, and sitting here laughing, simply because of how upset everyone is getting.

All in all I think it was just the way you said it. More or less, we could have just considered ou a jerk like you said, but to be quite honest, I'm almost certain that everyone here pretty well likes to see the best in people first and were just confused as to why you said "Not a snake..." Because that is more or less a statement. Yes it's an opinion but I guess it just felt like more of a rude attack more than anything else.
All in all I wasn't looking for any animosity, and I'm sure you can understand that. But I think you know you're bound to get a few snarky or uproaring comments if you comment with things much like you did.
All in all, I'm almost certain they're more than willing to let this go as it was just a misunderstanding. And I don't mean anything bad by this but, don't be surprised if other people are more or less just willing to delete your comment and block you from posting to them. This is what my friend likes to prevent so she would rather have discussions or even arguments to get things figured out if you know what I'm talking about. Sorry if I'm not being clear. Just, more or less, and you might not care, but, you should maybe just be a bit more careful with your words if you really don't like people getting upset about things you say. Actually, snakes and lizards are quite different. She chose a specific species of Snake Hence the way the character looks mixed with human.
She can't just say, this is my bush viper LIZARD hybrid.. Because there's no such thing, unless she wants to make it up, which is what she's doing with the legs on an animal that doesn't have human legs. Much like all these other bipedal creatures going around on FA. There was no need for you to be rude. Just try to understand that the idea behind anthropomorphizing things is purely of fantasy value. None of the other critters created by people really exist either. If this annoys you, just let it annoy you and walk away. Reason being a lot of things annoy me and it's fine to form an opinion but what's not fine is to come in with YOUR OPINION, which is blatantly ignorant, I hate to say, because it's a fantasy creature. If she was making a full on snake, your point would be completely legitimate, but it's not. It's a snake/human hybrid.
