And alot of people are trying to say its the same as boycotting israeli media/culture but its not. There's a reason for that and it's because israel uses literature, films and other media to promote zionist ideology pretty extensively. Theres too much overlap between israeli media and palestinian occupation becaue the existence of israel is at the expense of palestinians. Israeli "culture" has aided in the erasure of palestine since before the establishment of israel. How does listening to Tchaikovsky or reading Tolstoy promote "genocide" in Ukraine when it predates it? How does the russian government materially benefit from heated rivalry? These are serious questions to ask because boycotting is not just vibes, theres actual reasons and strategies behind it
