Walton Goggins keeps saying the Ghoul cares about Lucy, specifying not like a daughter. I think it’s a lot more complex and inevitable than that.
"Also I still want them to fuck."

My constant struggle of getting really into an age gap pairing and having everyone else say “um it’s father daughter” or "it's father son"
like SORRY NOT EVERY MAN IS A FATHER FIGURE, SOMETIMES HES A FUCKING FIGURE
hank: YOU'RE NOT THINKING STRAIGHT YOU CAN'T TRUST THAT MAN JUST BECAUSE HE PRETENDED TO BE A HERO IN YOUR FAVORITE MOVIES!
lucy: STOP IT THIS ISN'T EVEN ABOUT HIM IT'S ABOUT YOU AND I'M THINKING PERFECTLY STR— wait hold on back up when who did what now?
if we don’t get it in the show at some point, i NEED a fic of Lucy running her hands over Ghouper’s scarred body and feeling the weight of the last 200 years on his skin
(recs anyone?)
I love Rafi Silver’s version of Mr. House.
I hope we get to see more of him, and I’m really hoping we get to see his and Justin’s Mr. House interact. I want to know if they’re besties? Merely coworkers? Just a mutual respect for each other?
Obviously he’s close enough and trusted enough to know everything and every plan or else the whole body double bit wouldn’t work.
When Cooper and Mr. Body Double enter the room, he immediately starts pulling on his shirt, messes with his collar, and loosens his tie. Then he starts playing with his tie bar. Is he just a fidgety person or does he get nervous around his boss?
And then i love how he and Victor just stare at each other like 🫤 while Mr. House and Cooper talk. They both look so bored lol.
After he talks to Cooper, he takes his leave. Why did he stick around? Was he just waiting to be dismissed? Was he waiting to see if Mr. House needed anything?
It seemed like the most relatable thing. Bringing someone up to meet your boss and then standing there awkwardly while inwardly thinking “do I leave now? Am I supposed to stick around for this? Surely, he’d tell me if he wanted me to stay or not. He’s not saying anything to me. Hmmm. Guess I’ll just wait. Oh, now this guy is asking me a question. Yup, now seems like a good time to exit. Boss didn’t call after me so I think I’m good…”
The fact that they never acknowledge each other in this scene is wild. Neither of them greet each other. There’s no “here he is, boss” or “thank you, that will be all”.
I NEED THEM TO INTERACT. I want to know if those choices were Rafi depicting his character as someone who messes with their clothes when bored, or to show how nervous he is in the presence of the real House. I need to know if Mr. House regards his body double as a valuable companion or merely a tool.
originally i thought it was pretty cool that fallout prime cast a trans guy to play a nonbinary character in the brotherhood of steel and just didn't explain it at all like "fuck you we just liked the character and they're awesome" and that's right because dane is awesome but as season 2 has only introduced more and more evidence of the brotherhood of steel having insane gender roles and policies of outright gender segregation from chapter to chapter, their coy approach to how a nonbinary person got accepted into the mojave chapter's all-male homosocial military and has their pronouns respected by everybody around them is only having more and more batshit implications for the brotherhood's gender politics and again it's not that i'm complaining about Dane at all because they're one of the best characters in the show but it's that i'm FASCINATED by those implications. like it'd be one thing if the actor was just playing cis (kind of like patti harrison in that one movie where she gets pregnant) but dane is explicitly non-binary! like could you fucking imagine trying to explain non-binary gender to quintus. to fucking quintus.
“I don’t know that the writers knew that I was going to do it this way, or this was my intention, but I care deeply for [Lucy], not as a daughter. But I care deeply. I tried to reason out: I am betraying you. I am this close to what I’ve been looking at for 200 years. But it pains him.” (x)
FALLOUT - The Wrangler

"It's a lonesome song, ain't it? Now you can't get any much lonesome right, can you? When a whippoorwill so lonesome it can't fly, he done got lonesome, man. He needs some company, bad! [laughter]"
This is the moment the Ghoul realizes he's always been Cooper under all that bravado.
Since the betrayal I’ve been thinking about season 1 a lot. How Lucy had so many reasons to hate and distrust this man, and yet comes to see him as a friend and someone she trusted.
And while I wish the show had showed more of that developing relationship ahem
It kinda hit me how much she had to forgive and get over to trust him. And that’s why she gets that look of horror when he shoots her with a the tranq- it the realization that all her forgiveness and trust had been misplaced, that all the work she had done to be with this man meant nothing to him (well at least from her perspective in the moment).
And it just makes the betrayal hit so much harder when you take the antagonism of their initial relationship into consideration..
