Cursor Jumps to End of Word When Typing at Start

Describe the bug

When placing the cursor at the beginning of a word in a property value field and starting to type, the cursor jumps to the end of the word after the first typed character.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open the property value editing interface.
2. Place the cursor before a word in the input field.
3. Start typing.
4. The cursor jumps to the end of the word.

The cursor should remain in place, pushing the existing text to the right, allowing insertion at the beginning of the word.
