Updatehub requirements

Firstly, let me say that I'm generally really good with computers although I'm not a developer, just a normal guy running into a problem.n
I have a new computer running windows 11 24H2. I really like the update hub software so I installed it; however it would not run. Upon reinstalling it, the main window opened and said I need to install the desktop app installer, specifically winget. It's my understanding that it is installed with windows. In any case, I went to the Microsoft store, and found the app installer but the Get button is greyed out. Searching the Internet has got me nowhere. Please advise where I can get the app installer.
