- Clone the repository.
- Install dependencies:
npm install
- Create a
.envfile in the root and add your environment variables:DISCORD_TOKEN=YOUR_DISCORD_BOT_TOKEN
- Compile TypeScript:
npm run build
- Run the compiled bot:
npm start
- Run in development mode (uses
ts-nodeandnodemonfor live reload):npm run dev
With the bot running and invited to a server:
!ping->Pong!(using default prefix).
src/: TypeScript source files (main logic insrc/index.ts).dist/: Compiled JavaScript output (ignored by Git).package.json: Project metadata, dependencies, and scripts.tsconfig.json: TypeScript compiler options..env: For environment variables (token, prefix - ignored by Git)..gitignore: Specifies intentionally untracked files.
