I'm often finding myself re-using a shape with particular size and text throughout a diagram. Eventually I'll resize or re-text the shape and I want all other 'copies' of that shape to follow suit. This feature would solve that problem. Any sort of map with a legend/key. I'd make the shape contained in the key the 'original' and then I'd use imprints of that original throughout the map. Changing properties of the 'original' would result in changes to all imprints. |

When documenting complex architectures I would like to be able to nest sub-system diagrams into other diagrams which contain the sub-systems.
I think I'd prefer being able 'link' view-only external diagrams as a special shape within another diagram.
If it's more feasible, being able to create an 'imprint' or view-only link of a shape that exists within the same diagram would be useful too.
The 'page as a background feature' is useful and was a step towards what I'm looking for.
