Logs not captured in OpenTelemetry Android , help needed

I tried the Android demo app and noticed it handles traces, but I can’t seem to figure out how to capture and export logs. I’ve looked through the docs and repo, but I’m still stuck on getting concrete examples or guidance for logging integration. Has anyone been able to get logs working, or could you share some pointers?
Would really appreciate any help or resources!

Hey @Chandra-Sekhar-Bala, thanks for the interest in OTel Android!

The demo app currently doesn't really leverage logs (except for some events, which travel on the logs signal), so you didn't miss anything....it's just a gap there. The logging exporter, however, is wired up and configured by the agent initializer, so you should have some events emitted at the minimum. I recommend running a collector locally on your laptop with verbose logging enabled for logs...then you'll see them.

With this project, there are two ways that you can emit otel logs from this project. First, you can use the otel apis directly, like this:

    var openTelemetryRum: OpenTelemetryRum = [...]
    val logger = openTelemetryRum.openTelemetry.logsBridge.get("myLogger")
    logger.logRecordBuilder()
        .setBody("Your message here")
        .setAttribute("foo", "bar")
        .setAttribute("quantum", 13)
        .emit()

The other approach is to include the android-log-agent instrumentation in your project, and allow the build-time bytebuddy plugin to instrument your Log.x(...) calls for you.
