[UX] Notification close button overlaps window close button

I've accidentally closed application windows multiple times because the notification close (×) button appears directly over the window's close button. This tends to happen when I'm focused on something else, and I reflexively click to close the notification—only for it to vanish just before the click registers, which then closes the window underneath instead.

While I understand that clicking anywhere on the notification dismisses it, the presence of the close button in that corner reinforces the reflex to click there—leading to this recurring issue.

Is there a way to customize the placement of the notification (e.g., move it away from the top-right corner) or disable the close button entirely? I couldn't find any options for this in the current settings.

Back then Unity had a very elegant solution to this.
They blurred out notification bubble when you moved the cursor over it and made the windows under it clickable without extra steps.
