Summary
After getting the app to run with Flutter v1.9.1+hotfix.4 (current stable) and Dart 2.5, I have moved all functions, but getDiffs, to use the graphql library linked in #26 . Also, this required an update to the parsers.

Risks:
I updated a couple of dependencies, but everything seemed to be working as expected to me.
