Continue where you prefer working

Whether you’d like to build on Copilot’s work or take full control, open your session in VS Code, Codespaces, or the GitHub CLI. In the view sessions page on github.com, click Open in VS Code to open your session directly on your VS Code workspace.

This feature is available to all users who have access to Copilot coding agent. Collaborating with Copilot on your task will require write access to the repository. To access your session in VS Code, ensure that you have the latest version of VS Code installed alongside the GitHub Copilot Chat and GitHub Pull Requests extension.
