I think it'd be very cool to be able to explore my D1 databases via the MCP.

You can! It's in the workers-bindings MCP server. Here's an example of Claude defining a schema, querying D1 to apply it, seeding the db with data, and writing a little React app to display the data: https://claude.ai/share/273dadf7-b060-422d-b2b6-4f436d537136
