Feedback: Install Redis on macOS

The commands to start redis don't seem to work with redis-stack or redis-stack-server, only with redis.
brew services doesn't show any service after installing redis-stack. It's very confusing, I don't know how I'm supposed to start redis-stack after installing it with brew.

Hi @chrisDeFouRire. Things may have changed since I wrote those instructions. On the Redis Stack installation page, there is an info box about redis-stack-server not being integrated with brew services, so it would have to be started manually in the background. I'll re-install on my Mac to take a look.

Hi @chrisDeFouRire. I just did a fresh installation of Redis Stack on my Mac using Homebrew, and the provided instructions worked as written. After installation, I was able to start a Redis server instance using /opt/homebrew/bin/redis-stack-server.

If you still haven't had any luck, you might ask for help on to our Discord channel. There are lots of friendly people there who might be able to assist.
