Hi there! Mostly don't be rude, don't repost my art. Don't hesitate to ask me about the AUs (please ask me about the AUs) I love to rant and share all the lore. Feel free to write or draw stuff from my silly prompts if you want, just remember to add credits, and most importantly, have fun!

coworker today was talking about how she tries to drive less to reduce her carbon footprint, so instead of ordering takeout she orders delivery. when I pointed out that this actually results in the exact same amount of emissions because the same amount of driving happens she said "yeah but it's not me driving." and I feel like any critique of progressive individualism I could make based on this would fall flat because like. what else is there to say? she summed up the flaws of individualist environmentalism better than most critics could, without intending to.

okay well given the number of tags that seem to think the problem is how she's calculating her personal carbon footprint and not the idea of a "personal carbon footprint" maybe I should have elaborated some

The thing about character design theory is I really think we shouldn’t just keep reinforcing our “this is what a sneaky and untrustworthy character looks like, this is what a threatening and intimidating character looks like, this is what an innocent character worth protecting looks like, this is what a smart and competent character looks like, this is what a man looks like vs what a woman looks like” conventions like they’re innate human wiring that we tap into scientifically and not like, heavily societal

"but they completely mischaracterize-" my comrade in tumblr, the imaginary difference in how you interpret a not-real dude should not make you believe you are different or above your fellow fandom guy

i would rather be buddies with someone who has completely opposite interpretation than me than someone who shares the same opinions but tears others interpretations down

My biggest fear about getting older is people might start gifting me bottles of wine. Please, take your bottle of bitter grape juice somewhere else. It's not wanted here

i love interpretations of sirens where they aren’t a sexual desire- just a physical representation of one of your deepest wants - anyway would jason’s siren be catherine or bruce

Catherine because she's dead so it could be a whole thing about her bathed in light opening her arms telling him to join her and she'll take care of him and he can finally rest

the reason i love marvel and dc comics is bc nobody gets an ending and the stories are neverending and even deaths don't matter. i have severe attachment issues and struggle with grief i mean what

love is a verb and jason needs to know that theres substance and action behind the sentiment his family says they have for him

which is why to me the very most important part of building any type of relationship with him is for the other party to go out of their way to protect jason’s heart. to center his emotional well being and take action for his sake, solely because it is in jason’s interest to do so, to show how important he is without needing a monologue about it. it is blatant and shameless wish fulfillment while at the same time it is the most vital and interesting way of progressing his character and demonstrating trustworthiness imo

Motherfuckers sueing Mattel for their autistic Barbie calling it cliché because she's using support devices like look I'm not Mattel's biggest fan but those morons are just stigmatising the use of support devices atp and frankly the idea that a dark-skinned woman would be a cliche representation of autism is so fucking ridiculous considering the psychiatrists in these assholes' country remain incapable of diagnosing someone with autism if they're not a 6 yo white boy and this is the fight you want to dedicate yourself to? The fact that autistic Barbie has an alternate communication device? Hey assholes if you have the time and money to fucking sue Mattel how about you try and dedicate that to shit that actually supports the autistic community

I’ve mentioned it briefly in the big Seeing Red Opinions Post but there’s something so sadly funny about how in the Green Arrow Red Hood fight Jason, who has no evil plan for the city and hasn’t yet kidnapped Mia, determines that Ollie (who would canonically kill for his kids) is not only unwilling to kill for his kids but wouldn’t kill anyone for any reason ever because he won’t take the kill shot on him personally. “The problem with you heroes is your limits” and he’s literally fighting for the sake of fighting and hasn’t given him any reason to consider doing anything like that yet. Just rabblerousing and making a scene. Being a nuisance. Death penalty for causing a ruckus.
