Clean Water for the DRC

Current progress: $80/$3,500 CAD

M23's latest attack on Goma has worsened an already dire water crisis in the DRC. The UN announced in a recent report that water and electricity have been cut off in Goma, forcing people to rely on unsafe water sources. The lack of clean water and proper sanitation has increased the risk of disease outbreaks, leaving communities vulnerable.

Please help protect the right to clean water for the DRC by supporting Melodie Ntumba's campaign. The funds will help provide safe drinking water for families and support projects for water filtration systems.

Hello world 🌎 Am magala said an LGBTQ person in a sudan refugee camp. I and my fellow LGBTQ refugees face a lot of challenges including homophobia, hunger, lack of medication, lack of bedding and so many other challenges.

We are aiming at raising 5,000 USD to cover all those expenses so that LGBTQ people can get essential necessities like pads, food, medication and bedding so that they aren’t pressured into prostitution. Anything you can give will be of much help towards our survival however small it may be.

We thank you for standing with us in this horrible and traumatizing situation

if anyone is able to donate, please do so. regardless, please reblog this, so more people can help. this one isn't vetted as of yet, so please donate responsibly, if you are considering donating.

More than 7,000 people have been killed in eastern DRC since January as M23 rebels, backed by Rwanda, seize major cities, including Goma and Bukavu.

In Goma alone, 3,000 deaths have been reported, with 2,500 bodies buried unidentified and 1,500 still in morgues. Many of the dead are civilians.

The violence has also displaced 450,000 people following the destruction of 90 camps.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has warned the conflict could destabilise the region, while Rwanda denies supporting the rebels. Prime Minister Judith Suminwa has urged urgent international action to enforce a UN resolution demanding Rwanda’s military withdrawal.

While we are being killed daily We are being starved too. We are going through a terrible famine in the Gaza Strip. There is no food, vegetables or meat.

I hope everyone will help us, donate to us and stand by us in this harsh famine and Reblog my pin post.

The wind is now blowing with all its force, and the dilapidated tents of the displaced are trembling under its weight!! O God, calm this wind with your strength, and send down upon the people of Gaza the clouds of your mercy!!

Support Al-Afia's Recovery

Current progress: $3,785/$60,000

This campaign has been shared by Sara (@/bsonblast).

Al-Afia was involved in a traffic accident that severely damaged her foot, leaving her with painful fractures and deformities. The treatment she has received so far has not succeeded in improving her condition. Her foot gas stopped growing completely and now Al-Afia requires specialized care and rehabilitation. Al-Afia is only 13 years old and she risks losing her foot if her family cannot afford to travel outside of Sudan to get her the care she needs.

Please support Al-Afia's family in their evacuation and seeking treatment for her. Your contribution and shares will help bring them closer to their goal.

Hi guys, @qumjudetamale has asked me to make a post, so I am.

Please, Support LGBTQ Refugees in Sudan

As they said to me,

we are in miserable situation.
we don't have what to eat , where to sleep we sleep on mats and the house were destroyed by strong rainfall, the place is full of homophobia people, we don't not get enough treatment, no medication, we run out of food three days ago.
we don't know what to do.

Please donate whatever you can, and if you cannot, please, please PLEASE, reblog this. They need our help, please 🙏

Over 17 months into the war and humanitarian crisis in Sudan, UN officials are now warning more than two million are at risk of death by starvation.

Despite the staggering casualties, the conflict is barely making headlines.

The conflict in Sudan has uprooted millions yet the deafening silence of the global actors is a tragic testament to humanity’s indifference.

Compared to the extent of the crisis, Sudan’s aid needs are critically unmet.

The disparity in global aid for Sudan and Ukraine highlights the selective attention given to humanitarian crises.

i can only hope the senseless, state sanctioned lynching of yet another innocent black man inspires protests worldwide like it did with george floyd. i can only hope marcellus williams murder will inspire change, and will not have been completely in vain. i want to see protests, petitions, murals, phone calls, emails, handwritten letters, anything and everything that could possibly force change upon the horrific country we ironically call the united states of america.

i can only hope..

until then, say his name.

**Humanitarian Support Request: Abdul Salam Al-Anqar**🚨📢🔊

Hello,

I am Abdul Salam Al-Anqar, 26 years old, married to Aya Al-Batniji and I have a little girl named Iman
who is (1 year old). My family consists of seven members: mother Iman (49 years old), my father Ahmed (54 years old), and my brothers Mohammed (14 years old), Nader (17 years old), and Omar (21 years old).

Due to the devastating war in the Gaza Strip, our homes were completely destroyed and became uninhabitable. We were forced to flee to the south, and we are searching for safety, as we were displaced more than 9 times, suffering from harsh conditions. We suffer from severe shortages of water and food, and my daughter suffers from malnutrition due to the high prices of food and its scarcity, in addition to the closure of the crossings and the ongoing siege.

"We relied on our crops to secure our daily bread and treated them with love and care. But in an instant, all our hard work was destroyed, and everything we had built was wiped out. We appeal for your support during this crisis to help us rebuild what we've lost."

I used to work as a car technician, but my workplace was completely destroyed. We are now in dire need of collecting donations to finance our travel to a safe country. The cost of travel is between $6000 and $7000, which is a huge amount that we cannot afford.

We ask for your support and assistance in these difficult circumstances. Even a small contribution can make a big difference in our lives.❤️❤️

Thank you very much for your support and generosity.

Sincerely,

Abdulsalam Al-Anqar

Hey guys!

I know we are helping with families in Palestine, but can we PLEASE give Sudan the same energy for a few second?

Many people are displaced, starving, and trying to escape the RSF (Rapid Support Forces) by evacuating to neighbouring countries or overseas.

(If you do not know what is happening in Sudan, click here.)

I want to bring your attention to four (4) fundraisers. Three of them are from Tumblr users! I also have donated to these campaigns, so please consider doing the same! It will help them so much!

URGENT: Eman Abdelrahman (CHF26,218 / CHF38,475).

She and her family are in IMMEDIATE DANGER! The RSF is closing in her location. They can harm her and her family at any time! Eman needs to evacuate NOW!

Sajida's five (5) families (£7,062 / £30,000).

This fundraiser is for Sajida's extended family.

They have been displaced from Khartoum for more than a year now and reside in a makeshift home in the scorching hot desert with no A/C and no windows. The temperature can go up 52°C (122°F)! (This is mentioned in their fundraiser).

Randa and her family (€20,067 / €35,000).

Randa is in Rwanda so the campaign is to reunite her with her six family members! She has posted an update on June 26th, almost three weeks ago:

Her family has their visa rejected when they entered Rwanda, so they are staying in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, but only temporarily. They have to borrow money to cover the high cost of living as well as issue new visas for Rwanda. (This is mentioned in her fundraiser).

Elaf Babiker ($18,570 USD / $35,000).

Elaf is a medical student in her final year as well as the eldest daughter. She wants to evacuate to Rwanda.

Last update: July 25th!

The RSF has claimed more terrority and closed more borders. It will be much more difficult to leave Sudan via ground transportation. So the best option is to take a flight from Port Sudan to Ethiopia and then she and her family will be Rwanda.

My donation to Elaf's fundraiser is not in the donation match's post. So here is a screenshot.

Thank you for making it this far! I didn't mean to make this long. I try to condense it as much as I can! Either way, please have a look and match!

(07/14/2024)

Update:

Elaf: $50 USD in 50 minutes.

Eman: 25 CHF in 7 hours and $15 SGD in 2 hours.

Randa: €5 in 46 minutes.

Sajida: £50 in 52 minutes.

Omg, guys, would you look at this? Every fundraiser has gotten multiple donations! Ah, I am so happy! :')

Thank you to those who have donated and shared. Please continue to do so. We are so close to the finish line for 3 of them! Do not forget to reblog. Spread their story far and wide. It will give their fundraiser a much needed boost if you do!
