the word "eepy" is disproportionately irritating to me for reasons beyond my ken
Fionna and Cake season two is like, fine, but disappointing in comparison to the season one. A hearty 6.5/10 in contrast to the rest of Adventure Time media being totally and utterly peam.
The game awards makes me forget that I like video games
Imagine heathcliff in the cockpit of the 2nd airplane wearing a helmet that says “tragedy”
I need to learn gamedev and also music production so that there can be a sick ass speed-based 3d platformer with an indie slacker-rock soundtrack e.g. Real Estate, Pavement, The Apples in Stereo, etc.
Fallout 3 is the most toy-like game ive ever played

I think a big part of what makes Undertale so good is it’s ability to break down the emotional barrier of “this shit is so cringe.” It leads you in slowly by being genuinely funny and clever, and then hits you with the emotional beats only after you’ve let yourself become invested. I think this is what a lot of fan games don’t accomplish quite as well, and why I have a hard time enjoying them as much. It also explains why people who are deep in the ut/dr fan media mines seem to be able to get more out of these projects. They’re already primed to accept whatever story into their hearts, they don’t really have that emotional blockage in the first place.
I think this is why I enjoyed Undertale 2 so much. It did a good job at getting me to let down my emotional guard and ready to be invested in the stupid ass story it has going on. Conversely, I think this is what Undertale Yellow failed to do for me, and why I couldn’t get invested into it’s world or characters.
