Hi Lynda. I’m so glad you’re enjoying The Bone Curse. Thank you! Yes, there will be more. I’m back to working on book two now. I was finishing up a psychological thriller and a cozy mystery, so I had to put the series on hold for a bit, but it’s great to be back to it. Hopefully book two will be ready for a spring 2020 release. No Vodou this time around. It’s another supernatural phenomenon.

The idea for "The Bone Curse" came to me while I was watching a TV show featuring supernatural phenomenon. I wondered what it would take a science-minded person like myself to accept something otherworldly was going on. So I decided to make that the theme of my book.
The main character, Ben Oris, is a logical thinker; a driven, intense introverted med student who must face the notion of a curse being the source of an infection he is spreading. It takes him a while to come to terms with that, just as I suspect it would take someone like him in the real world.
Though he has a big heart and cares deeply for the people in his inner circle, he has the perceived aloofness of an introvert, so not only must he face the turmoil going on in his life, he must change the way he interacts with people.

I'm so happy you were a Giveaway winner, Christy! I hope you enjoy the book.
In answer to your question, I'm a big fan of outlining. Thrillers rely on an escalation of tension, and for me to be able to do that, I like to plot everything out in advance. For me personally, it makes the first draft much smoother. In fact, that's something I touch on in my upcoming blog post for next week.
Thank you!
