This was amazing. I love Eartha Kitt, I've been a fan of her since I was a teenager. I recently found out that she wrote quite a few memoirs and this book.
I got a physical copy of this one, and then I found out they also made an abridged audiobook with Eartha doing the narration. Unfortunately, the audiobook is very out of print at this point. But I just HAD to hear it, so I found a set of the cds on Amazon. Kind of pricey at $30 for 3 1/2 hours of content, but I know I'll listen to it many more times, so it's well worth my money!
I loved it so so so much. I've watched hours of different interviews she's done, but this was next level for me. She's got a beautiful, transfixing voice.
Hearing her retell some of the stories I've read in her memoir was fantastic, and then just her entire take on how to live your life is beautiful.
Eartha passed away in 2008, but sooo much of what she talked about in this book has been trending for the past few years. She was so ahead of her time. From raising chickens herself and having a garden in Beverly hills, to composting, to yoga, olive oil, not drinking, eating clean, etc etc ~ she was doing all of this light years before any of us.
She was an incredible lady, I admire her more and more with every new tidbit I learn about her, and I definitely look forward to reading my physical copy of this and the book that her daughter wrote.
