The Wild Things: Chapter L

The beasts waved at Max and held back tears, they howled and howled with all their heart. Max howled back. “AROOOOOO!!! AROOOOOO!!!” Max didn’t want to leave them, but, he had to. Wishing he could stay, Max stopped howling and collapsed to the floor of the boat for a much needed sleep.

Thunk! Max woke up with a startled look. He looked behind him, and saw a porous rock. “Huh.” He said and shoved it into his pocket. He looked up to see if there was any trace of how the rock was dropped. “What the- ” Max said in a startled voice. One of Katherine’s owls soared above with a dark blue sky surrounding. But, Max was too tired to pay any attention and he drifted off into a deep sleep.
