"Rings" by ND Stevenson

My absolute favourite comic journal by Stevenson. Made me cry my eyes out. Even when I can't articulate it, it gets to the core of what I think love is.

Jarlaxle “I have slept with a dragon” Baenre

I like how Jarlaxle and Entreri were early on seemingly Drizzt antagonists who were polar opposites to Drizzt in life philosophy. To contrast him as different.

But I like that they fitted better as not inherently villain antagonists and became more complimentary to Drizzt as they became more heroic/protagonists themselves over time. Complex protagonists who do end up risking their lives to rescue innocent people as Drizzt does.

Idea that Drizzt isn’t the special one or prime ‘good one’ that doing right thing comes in many forms and philosophies etc sometimes its a different journey to become ‘good’ or longer journey. They won’t become just like Drizzt but will eventually find their own way to achieve the thing Drizzt strives for

This was very fun! I hope I get chance to try it again sometime!
