#25... a kiss as a "yes"! I've had this one rotating waiting its turn for days <3

Felwinter peeked over the top of his book curiously, far from the first time that morning. 

The study was quiet, candles nearly burned down as the rising sun lit the room gold. The fireplace was dark: it'd been a relatively warm night, and they hadn't needed the extra heat. The brightening sky outside was clear, and somewhere just outside nearby, a bird sang, happily heralding what was certain to be a beautiful, sunny spring day.  But across from where Felwinter sat in his high-backed throne of a chair, Osiris squirmed on the sofa.  He most assuredly wasn't aware of what he was doing, or he'd be putting up much more resistance, Felwinter was sure, but as things were, there was no denying something had gotten under his student's skin.  Several times, the young Warlock had taken a breath as if to speak, then lurched his attention back to the book wilting in his grip as soon as Felwinter looked up. He had something to say, but so far hadn't managed to get it out. 

Unfortunately for Osiris, Felwinter was as patient as the rock this temple was built on, and whatever Osiris was trying to hold in would wiggle out eventually whether he meant to allow it or not.  Said student shifted again, unfolding his legs where he sat curled on the sofa, only to immediately re-fold them and sink back into his comfortable slump after only seconds of sitting upright. Felwinter made the faintest noise, as if clearing his throat, and he watched from his peripheral to see Osiris' head pop up briefly before he dug his nose all the harder back into his book.  Felwinter was an impossibly patient man, but he didn't think he'd have to wait much longer.  "..." Osiris drew in another sharp breath and Felwinter had to resist looking up until he was actually addressed. "...Lord Felwinter?"  Ah. There it was.  He looked up slowly from his reading and gave Osiris a slow blink, as if he hadn't been waiting to hear his name.  "Yes, Osiris?" He hummed, setting the book aside and uncrossing his ankles and straightening ever so slightly to signal Osiris had his full attention.  Osiris' eyes widened as though he'd been caught at something, and he chewed his lip, but Felwinter continued to wait.  "I - that is, um-" Osiris fumbled his words, his face slowly turning red. "Well, I was wondering, if you wanted, anyway, maybe not, but, well, it's-" he coughed and gave his face a hard scrubbing with both hands. "What I mean to say is," he started over, drawing a deep, steadying breath. "It's going to be a beautiful day." He paused, eyeing Felwinter, who nodded in agreement. "I um... I gathered some things from the kitchen last night, and there's some blankets... That meadow full of wildflowers down slope a ways should be at the most vibrant it can be right now." He cut off, hesitating. "I suspect you're correct," Felwinter supplied, hoping to encourage him.  "I wondered if today you... would like to go? With me?"  Felwinter set his book aside and stood slowly. What a delightful surprise. He'd been worried something bad had happened - Osiris had a knack for trouble, after all. He liked this prospect much more.  "Osiris..." He approached his student - no, his lover today, and admired his fiery blush for a moment. "Did you just invite me on a date?" He enjoyed keeping Osiris entertained, doting on him every chance he got, but that Osiris returned the service was a pleasant first.  "I - err- y-yes, if ...if you want," Osiris gasped. He was wringing his book between his hands, and Felwinter wondered, amused, if he might tear it in half. He knelt, bringing himself on-level, and smiled into Osiris' eyes briefly before leaning in and kissing him deeply. "I'd love that."
