If you want to that’s fine. However, why be mad when everyone calls her El? She never expressed distaste for being referred to as El or Eleven.

The season 3 scene with Billy is not talked about enough. Billy is like “sorry I didn’t quite catch your name.” And then she turns her head and gives a cold line “El.”

Like that name is something she reclaimed. It’s also why Dustin yelled out ELEVEN instead of Jane when she’s faking her death,(and yes she’s fucking alive don’t even argue).

Legally her name is Jane Hopper. But at her core, she is El. Everyone who loves her calls her El/Eleven.

Kali calls her Jane because of her own trauma with the lab number assigned to her. She didn’t reclaim it the same way El did, ( that’s my theory anyways).

*Spoilers for season 5*

I think Mike’s s theory is right. It wouldn’t make sense that she died because:

• She was still visible when she came down from the truck. Dr. Kay had clear vision of her which was why she was confused when it seemed she disappeared
• She’s already at the gate without anyone seeing her
• Her nose isn’t bleeding
• She isn’t in visible pain and covering her ears because that’s the telltale sign that her powers can’t work
• Kali could have told El her plan of faking her death and making sure that El can escape through the tunnels
• And when hopper left to get bandages, Kali could have faked her death, she’s done it before when she tried to escape Dr.Kays men.
• That’s also why El could have avoided Murray’s question about Kali. She never gave a clear answer on what happened to Kali.
• El could have entered the void with just a blindfold and that’s how she talked to Mike
• She very specifically tells him that he will understand because he’s the only that can
• When the upside down got sucked out, she didn’t seem to struggle staying put. And she didn’t seem as affected as that one scene where that little hole opened up and her hair got all loose and she needed to move behind debris to avoid getting pulled towards it.
• And then she just vanishes in a way that an illusion would. And by that point, you can assume Kali is truly dead
• Yes this might be all far-fetched but ask yourselves, why would Millie fly out to iceland to film a little scene if she actually was dead. Why put that much effort into just Mikes imagination?
• Unless, Mike is right and it’s showing us how she actually escaped and lived
• It might not be 100% solid proof but I think this is enough evidence to support his theory
• Which is why I personally don’t believe she’s dead
• Her dying is cruel and the duffers say that they wouldn’t make a cruel ending. Now depends on if you believe what they say on certain things. I don’t really enjoy what they said about Els character
• However, they definitely wouldn’t have killed her and instead chose a confusing way that can go either way
• And I’m choosing to be as optimistic as Mike is
• Mileven will reunite somehow because they deserve to be happy together

unfriendly and honestly hostile reminder that trump isn't invading venezuela because maduro is a dictator, or because of drug cartels. he's doing it only and exclusively because they have desirable oil reserves and no other reason. reminder that venezuela is a comparatively poor country that will never financially recover from this. reminder that venezuelans are suffering with the bombing and the air strikes. reminder that trump did it to steal from them and no one did anything. reminder that this sets a dangerous precedent and now all trump has to do to invade another country is claim they're in a dictatorship. reminder that trump is a fascist dictator.

this will only be bad, for venezuelans and for all of latin america (and possibly the whole world) in the long run. trump did this not to help the venezuelans or their country, but to steal their petrol and get away with it. and he will. because that's what dictators do.
