how many tattoos and piercings have you got??

Two tattoos, one tinier and one bigger and one piercing, a nose ring that my little niece likes and tells her mom she wants to get one too. Most of my family have a bunch of tattoos or piercings or both tbh lol

i assume you didn’t know that that was where the nword came from, which is fair if you aren’t a native speaker. but i am curious: how do you refer to black people in spain? do you call them any alternatives or do you just use the spanish word for black? is it not considered offensive there?

Yes, I actually didn't even know what the N Word was until like a year later, when my cousin (American) explained it to me.

And yes, while there are other alternatives we also use like Afrodescendiente or Afrohispano, we use the Spanish Word for Black to refer to a Black person. And no, it isn't meant to be offensive here, not any more than the words "lesbian" or "Asian"; it can be offensive if your tone is meant to be offensive, but the word itself? No. In my experience with my Black Spaniard classmates, they would rather have you say "una mujer negra" which literally just means "a black woman" than most other alternatives they do find offensive. For example, "chico moreno". Most of my friends would get mad at you for saying that instead of just "chico negro". Most non-white Spaniards, like some of my Roma family, would in fact give you the side-eye if you call them "persona de color" (POC). It may be accepted in English-speaking countries, but not so accepted here, because it's a different country, a different language and a different context.

There was this one time before I was fluent in English that i tweeted in SPANISH about how I needed new black jeans and a random English-speaking person replied calling me a racist and I have to tell you it was one of the most confusing things that happened to me in 2016

I understand Luke and I think he is a very interesting character who was able to snap out of the manipulation at the end, but all I'm saying is that if he'd worried about going to college or getting a job and moving on with his life like most demigods do if they become adults instead of staying at camp as a 19-20yo while grooming and manipulating a bunch of kids into spying for him or joining his army and dying for Kronos, maybe the guy would've been happier idk

i love love love learning about my mutuals via the sparsely-connected tidbits of personal lore they drop in the tags. online friends is my favourite text-based rpg

What are the most cliché female, Spaniard, and gay things about you?

I'm told by people who barely know me that if I do X things no man will want to date me (lmao), I love siestas and I can't drive

my wife [the animated webseries rwby] is away at war [the hiatus] and she almost died in an ambush [rooster teeth shut down] but she survived [viz media picked it up] and they're letting her come home [vol 10 is being written] but the journey is long and perilous [animation takes a really long time] so i don't know when i'll see her again [no vol10 release date] and if she'll still be the same after all that she went through [i dont know how viz operates and that scares me a bit]

Egyptian Art it's really easy stuff in an exam because it's technically basically the same for thousands of years and if you see something different you just know it's probably from Akhenaten's period

That one time mom and I met with this relative/family friend and she showed us her newborn baby and my mom kept saying awww look at the baby isn't she cute? And I was a little drunk and I said that no, that in my opinion she was kinda ugly, that all newborn babies are kinda ugly and look basically the same to me and they don't start being cute until they're a few weeks old. And my mom started to apologize but the mother of the baby was like no no your daughter has a point

are there any places in the world you'd like to visit? like, your dream travel

Yeah, several. One of them, Rome, has already been achieved. I've been to London too and I would definitely go back. I would love to visit Tokyo and Osaka one day, too, and so would do my cousin. Seoul, Istanbul, Mexico City or Río de Janeiro are cities I'd love to see in person. My mom is cool with the idea of visiting Dublin with me if the opportunity comes soon, too, even though she's not that into travelling. And I've always, always wanted to go to Athens. That's gotta be my second most wanted destination.

But my biggest one was to go to New York. Eversince I was a kid I always dreamed of going there, or to Los Angeles or New Orleans with my sister, though New York appealed more to me. I don't know, my dad and I always talked about going when I was little and it stuck with me. And although I don't like the idea of living there, and definitely I wouldn't even think about going to the US under the current administation, I still want to visit New York one day, if I could afford it and I had the time to do so.
