Asking AI to remove clothes from anyone should be enough to put people on the sex offender registry for life
Omg this is the classic mistconstruction of what harm actually is.
If someone posted AI nudes of me I’d be fine, if I was put on the sex offender list, I’d be completely fucked and actually marterially harmed.
If someone uses an AI to remove clothes from a picture of me, that is not assault, literally nothing happens to me on a physical level. It’s not even as if nudes of me were exposed, because that AI generated picture is just some made up bullshit.
I personally would not want someone to have to register with their home adress, place of work, email adresses and DNA and then have some of that inforation made public, be restricted in their place of residence and place of work, be excluded from public places like churches, libraries, pools, pet stores, movie theater, tourist attractions, stadiums, airports or auditoriums and the area around them which might include the nearest doctor’s office, hospital, food bank, voting booth or homeless shelter. I would also not want them to become homeless, or having to move constantly, because their surroundings consist mostly of areas they are not allowed to exist in just because they generated a picture of a fake naked body with my face slapped on in.

Nobody NEEDS to get an AI naked image of anyone, ever. I’m glad it wouldn’t cause harm to YOU personally, but it would definitely cause emotional and psychological harm to many victims – and since only do we define crime as “physical harm has to occur”?
