Dead silence prompt:

Working as an engineer on the watchtower, Danny expected to be regarded as a background character as he worked. And he was for most of the heros on board. Except for BlackBat. She always checked in on him whenever she was on deck. Sometimes, giving the halfa a good jump scare with her sudden appearance.

Danny taking off a vent cover and seeing only a pair of eyes.

Danny concerned: BlackBat is that you?

Cass: :D

When it's time for the engineers to get paid. Danny doesn't get a paycheck because he was never actually hired. He needs money for living expenses, so he might have to stop. Instead Blackbat personally hands him a check with her phone number on it.

Danny checking the envelope: did I just get a sugar mama

The idea that Blackbat becomes Danny's sugar mama is the. Best idea I've heard all day. Especially if the her siblings find out.

Be funny if 'bat-booty calls' becomes a thing!

(the batfam's joke name for danny portaling down to gotham short notice to repair tech or machinery damaged fighting rogues...)

(The unaccounted time for black bat and danny 'after' said calls is not brought up)

Danny would probably have to watch out for Batman. The reason for that…well

(Cass or black bat and Danny would be near each other )

Black bat: ☺️

Danny (would explain all the constellations and their origin): and right there Scorpius is the scorpion that the earth goddess Gaia sent to attack and kill the hunter Orion as well-

Batman: black bat we need to go

Cass:….no

Batman ( never had heard her ever say no to him): ……

Batman( looks over to Danny and proceeds to stare at him menacing)

Danny ( who doesn’t want to cause Batman to look into him and finding out) well I’ve got go, nice talking to you byeeee ( danny speed walking away from the tall furry)

Cass: 😡

Cass ( walks to Bruce only to proceed to kick him in the leg)

Batman( wearing Kevlar all around his body) : 🥺

Phantom, the newest addition to the Justice League, pulls Wonder Woman aside.

He has...a strange request.

He's nervous, flustered, fading in and out of the visible spectrum. It's clear that what he's about to ask of her is important to him, and even though she has an uncomfortable voice in the back of her head telling her this young hero is about to ask her out, she resolves to listen before she jumps to conclusions.

She's glad she did.

"Can...can you put a grave for me in Themyscira? I know it's just for women, but it's the safest place I can think of for it! I just...I don't have a grave, and Clockwork says it's starting to stunt my growth as a Ghost, and I have too many enemies on American soil, so. It's okay if you say no, though, I'll figure something out, it's fine."

Diana lets him ramble to the end, already knowing what her answer is going to be.

"We would be honored to host your grave, Phantom. Do you have any remains I can take home? Do you require a funeral service?"

Phantom looks...he looks beyond grateful. Close to tears.

"No, no remains. A symbolic grave is fine, it just. It has to have my real name on it, my mortal one." He says, looking hesitant. "Please don't reach out to my family, Wonder Woman. They don't know."

With that, he hands over a small slip of paper, torn from a notebook and clearly folded one too many times.

She takes it as though he were entrusting her with the rarest diamond in the world. She wants to, but she does not ask how they could not notice the death of someone so very bright.

Instead she nods, tucking the paper away.

Phantom will get a grand grave, one worthy of a friend to the Crown of Themyscira. She will ensure it.

Can we focus on the "#she makes it a point to leave flowers at it whenever she can" tag for a moment because imo it's just so sweet and I want to explain why.

Mostly because she is an Amazon and lived in this society for majority of her life. What does this change in this situation? Amazons are based on Ancient Greeks and from what little I know about their funerary traditions (I should change it ig, gimme links if you have something good), they were quite different from nowadays. Like, they gave their dead a coin (or three I haven't read reliable source on that and what I did contradicts each other) so they could get a ride on Charon's boat. There is probably much more to it but once again, I have no idea. But the thing is, I don't think they actually were giving their dead any flowers. So for Diana, Amazon born and raised, when she has to show a respect to the dead flowers aren't first instinct. So this means she repeatedly went out of her way to honor him in a way appropriate to his culture.

Now, don't get me wrong, I love idea of people honoring Danny in a way appropriate to their culture, I brought up this idea literally yesterday on other prompt but I need you all to see how absolutely precious it is this way.

It's a difference between telling someone "I love you" in your mother tongue and explaining what it means and learning how to tell it in their language. Both causes cavities but the second one just hits different

Going off prompt but finally! My time to put all of my Classics and Archeology courses to use and infodump about ancient Greece has come!

But also? Completely unrelated to Diana? That grave, for a CHILD, is now on "we are ALL Momther now" Themyscira? The land of the "we ALL collectively raised Diana" Amazons? That is a Dead Kid.

A Dead Kid who asked for a Place Of Safety where no one could harm his resting place. Who's OWN FAMILY didn't even notice he was dead.

......Not On Their Watch. *slaps down adoption papers in front of the grave* Honey! I adopted the dead kid!

Just? Imagine it? A whole island of immortal bamf warrior women. Casually stopping by this child's grave. They don't know him, he's not one of their's, but they care because he is a child. That should be reason enough. He lived and now is dead.

Flowers picked while they walked, little hand carvings, stories about their day. Little offerings. A grave kept clean and well tended. Worn soft by gentle pats as they pass by. A place to rest and be remembered.

Worn soft by gentle pats as they pass by.

Y’all, the thought of all those women just casually patting Danny’s grave as they walk past? The gentle touches, do you think he feels them? Does he feel them like a mother carding her fingers through their beloved child’s hair?

for his sake, I hope he feels them as a little touch of warmth, especially when he needs it most.

I bet Diana tells them his hero name, so whenever he is injured, a few dedicated women do maintainance, such as cleaning, re carving, and replacing and washing worn-out offerings.

This boosts his recovery and gives him extra strength.

They won't fail him, just like they don't fail any of their other fallen sisters and mothers.

His grave will be kept sacred and holy, until he wishes to rest.

On warrior's honor.

Danny gets another title added to his list of them in the Realms; Son of Themyscira.

I GOT INSPIRED BY THIS AND DIDN'T MEAN TO SPEND 5 HOURS DRAWING THIS LMAO

Danny probably hears the people who touch his gave, the sudden words telling him to rest well, that he's fought long enough and he's loved would move him to tears.

(I was gonna write "Son of Themyscira" to his grave but mf doesn't have a birthday???)

good goddamn

this is beautiful

Would a Danny who never physically ages past 14 be allowed on Themyscira? Since he's a child that will never truly grow into a man.

Can Danny ever go to his own grave?

Or did he willingly ask for it to go in the one place he can never go? Trusting that his grave would be safest there and prioritizing that over his own ache to be able to go to it, to find the peace and safety other ghosts feel at their own resting places.

Gosh this is a great edition I am trying not to cry. AND THAT ART! I think more then a place he can't go (he probably assumes he can't go whether he actually can or not) is a place he knows no one will ever look. Not his enemies and certainly not (and he NEVER lets himself think about it too hard) his family. Because he didn't just never tell them because they didn't notice but because a part of him believed his death would hurt his parents. Or worse was afraid it WOULDN"T. But here's the thing. Very often the things we do for the dead are as much for them as they are for ourselves. So yes Princess Diana is proud to lay a resting place for her friend Phantom, for Danny. It is her honor and her pleasure to honor both the warrior she fights with and the boy he was. She lays flowers at his grave but also gifts of food and lit candles. And tries very carefully not to think that if Steve Trevor had lived... The stone carver that takes the commission is thrilled and honored to do this work for the Crown. She is an artist on an island of warriors and it is rare the stone carver gets to follow her heart's work. She asks for tales of the boy. What does her princess know? What deeds should she depicted, honors should she immortalize? The stone carvers takes everything she has learned and across the top of his tomb depicts a boy eyes up gazing at the heavens, head back in wonder, a spear at rest and almost forgotten at his side. She carves the constellation for Pegasus and Cassiopeia in the sky above. It is a masterwork. Queen Hippolyta congratulates her and asks her opinion on redoing the columns at the Temple of Athena.

One of the first guards on the tomb is a marathon runner, currently off active duty due to an injury. No greater joy has she then to race across the beaches and fields of Themyscira, feeling the winds in her face. She crafts a pair of miniature running sandals, talking to Danny Phantom as she does, explaining the best way to hold the body as you race, how to hug the terrain when you move, how to roll if you trip and fall and get back up again. The peace of this tomb gives her the space she needs to forgive herself. To get back up again. She leaves them next to a little plate of Oranges the Princess left. When the cast comes off she races up to Danny's grave, exuberant with the news, feels like she is sharing her joy with a little brother and not a monument of stone.

There are a dozens more examples. Amazons who leave little spears and slings and great stories of brave deeds. Amazons who leave dishes of steadily increasing quality, thanking the spirit boy for his patience at they learned finally to cook that dish. Amazons who kiss their fingers and run them over the stone, who share silly jokes or advice and always always the steady beat: "You are loved. You are remembered. You are ferociously protected. Rest well. Dream happy things."

i feel like due to this Danny ghost form would slowly become more and more Greek looking

like for a few examples

he gets armour more themed to the warriors of Themyscira

maybe a shield to represent his need to protect

maybe even gaining tattoos that mark a blessing from the god/goddess of protection and mercy (if they exist)

This is DC, all the Greek Gods exist. Olympus is a place you can visit if you can open a portal.

I really like Danny's Ghost form taking influences from those and other Powers he's connected to as his mortal one grows and ages.

Persephone and Hades would adore him.

Just saying, he's perfect for the two of them. Half alive, half dead, forever in-between, traveling from the realm of the living to the realms of the dead regularly.

Listen..

The young justice team gets stuck in a dark tunnel. They can't see the way out, while everyone is trying to find their way in the dark, conner just finds danny, picks him up under his armpits, and shakes him up and down.

They all hear the swish swash of his stomach, and slowly, green light starts to fill the room. Conner calmly puts down the dizzy boy and walks through the now lit tunnel. The rest of the team stared dumbfounded at danny, who is shaking his head to get rid of the dizziness.

Danny is glowing, not his eldritch powerful "I'm a god" glow, more like a green flashlight is showing through his stomach type of glow.

Danny raises his head to see the team staring at him and feels the need to explain.

"Ima glowstick"

......

Now the question is, how did conner find out?

I’m picturing Danny and Dani hanging out with Conner and goofing off when Dani jokingly says “Oh no I’m scared of the dark” just to have Danny pop his back and shimmy into glowing. They don’t need to pop anything but for the glow stick joke it’s funnier.

Turns out that ectoplasm glows like that if agitated so as long as a ghost has “eaten” recently they can glow with a bit of bogeying or uh super-powered shaking

Wait no, Conner doesn't Shake Danny.

He full on Bane's him. Picks him up above his head, throws him into his knee as hard as his half Kryptonian Strength will allow him, and crack Danny's Spine into Dust.

The other ssre horrified, Conner is just relived thst he can see now, Danny is asking for another cause his back hasn't felt this good in weeks.

So I was watching the new Flash movie yesterday, and it gave me the idea for this prompt.

Adult Kara and baby Kal. Kara manages to make it to the same pod with Kal and are sent to Earth together.

Enter single dad Danny and toddler Ellie.

Danny gets it, his older sister raised him and he’s raising his daughter-sister. He sees this lost looking young lady who seems scared, and is trying not to hover or break things, holding a toddler that keeps floating so much she’s pinned him to her chest. Metas are a thing, so are aliens, since this is before the protections Danny knows that these two are in danger.

With the power of speaking dead languages (ouch) he convinces Kara to go with him to somewhere safe. That turns out to be his aunt and uncle Kent’s farm. They have plenty of room for the super-power toddlers to play without drawing attention and Danny can teach Kara to handle her new powers. It’s pretty cool that most of them are close to his own or ones he has seen before from other ghosts, now they both can help Kon-el and Ellie as they grow!

Everyone in Smallville thinks Danny and Kara got married and think it’s sweet the young couple were able to find each other after their partners (passed, left, or whatever their stories were) them. And honestly, that was a good enough cover, Danny can ask Tucker to make some fake papers for Kara and lil El and then more fake marriage papers. At least now they can get El and Ellie into school without too many questions!!

Danny is going to help her get set up. And if them being married helps legally? He'll ask if she's ok with that. Kara is so glad she was found by Danny. He just gets it. Gets the whole new weird powers thing. Is one of three of his kind. Is also a single parent. Is kind, and caring. Willing to go the extra mile.

She is more than willing to be his 'wife'. It gives her and Kal a safe space to stay. A reason for her to be home with the kids, and not working or in education. While Danny goes and works. It's a perfect cover. His friend Tucker has helped greatly as well. He's set up a learning program for her about Earth and the local culture she is expected to know. Given her a good ID.

So yes, Kara is happy to be a 'stay at home mom'. It gives her time to process. To grieve. And to learn what she needs to keep herself and Kal safe. All for the low price of ensuring Ellie stays safe as well. Ellie is such a ray of sunshine, she's so easy to love. Kara loves seeing the two kids playing together. Martha and Jon are also wonderful people.

Danny Uncle and Aunt set them up with no questions asked. Have taken on a family role for her and Kal. They have so much love to give. And Kara loves them in return. How could she not. They are so kind and patient. So willing to help. She is learning so much from them. And so if her new family are willing to learn. Martha insisted she start writing her history. So Kal, and any child she may have later. Would have more than the cold records her Uncle sent.

They are all learning Kryptonian and she learns English. Insisted on fact. So she would have people to talk with in her birth tongue. There are times that she can barely breathe for the love she feels for them. It hurts so badly, to have lost everything she knew. But, these kind, wonderful, mad people? They are slowly helping her heal.

Danny is also a wonderful Father to both children. Equally loving to Ellie and Kal. Ensuring he takes an active interest in both. Caters to their whims and wishes. Without giving in to unreasonable demands. Willing to be firm of needed. But so very fun as well. She could not have found a better person to stumble across.

I absolutely love this! Danny being the caring and understanding man who takes them in without a second thought!

I can also imagine a scene where Kara is having a really bad day. She just can't get her mind back into the eight headspace, she'd stuck in the visions of Krypton blowing up, the imagined screams of everyone she had ever known dying in a whirlwind of molten rock and death.

She basically has a Panic Attack, the weight of everything she has lost piling onto her in an instant. But she can't let it out, especially not now. If she let it all out, if she let her grief explode like she used to, it would take out the land for miles around her. She couldn't let it out, for the safety of the people who had taken her it!

So she swallows her Grief and continues with her day. But it keeps building up, her emotions are all over the place, she keeps getting dragged back to the image of her Planet dying.

And Danny notices. Of course he does, he is always there for her.

He asks her out of the Blue to follow him. They take a quick flight over to his old hometown, Amity, and visit his Parents Home. He greets them, but quickly asks if they can use the Gate in the basement, to which his parents instantly agree.

He leads her down, through a swirling gate, and into a realm of green.

"This is the Ghost Zone, an Infinite Realm. The Denizens of the Zone are Ghosts, and entirely Immortal to non-ecto based attacks."

"Okay, but why show me this?"

"It's okay. You can let it out."

"What?"

"I know how hard you've been trying to hide it. For our sake and Kal's, but you don't need to force it down anymore. The Grief of losing everything you've ever known is something immense, it can't be fixed, it can only be lived with. But pushing it all down is no way to deal with it, it just makes the feeling worse."

"Bu-but I can't. It's too dangerous, to many people would be hurt, especially with my powers!"

"Kara, this Ghost Zone is Infinite. The Denizens are Immortal. And nothing you do can harm them. It's all okay, let it out. I'll he here with you, you don't have to be alone anymore."

And she can't keep it down anymore, so Kara let's it all out in a scream filled with so much Grief, it erased the islands surrounding them. But Danny held strong, he stayed with her, weathering the Shockwaves she was letting off.

After a while, Kara had burned off all the Pain and Grief that she had been holding onto for so many months, and all that was left was her crying. She felt arms wrap around her in a reassuring hug, telling her it would all be okay, eventually.

And she hugged him back.

Ok first id like to share some good news: finished all my tests for the semester, and i think i only failed like 2 or 3!! More good news, more fics that ill get around to writing!! Or ill just post my unfinished drafts. I mean there's a yandere Jake (platonic dad yandere) fic and a "spider w permanant brain damage from the scanner fic" and even more just absolutely collecting dust in my drafts

New idea that I'll def finish this time tho: Humans but there unrealistically better than they are. There's no RDA, no big mining operation, no deforestation or driving natives out or dying earth, just humans being natural born explorers who are mind blown at an entire different planet with life.

And that's wild! They thought they were alone, the universe looking back on itself, explorers of a vast and endless yet lonely expanse. Then boom! Life! Life on a different planet, life so different yet similar. A life that has their own culture and languages, that's so intertwined with nature, they're capable of forming a deep connection at a moments notice! That's amazing! (Forgive me for my amazement, watching Rio and i just love the movie)

Anyway, in this au with no evil corporation only interested in money heading this operation, humans are way nicer! And weirder.

I imagine the Na'vis early experiences w humans are like what some of us think that aliens are doing (crop circles, abducting cows, just standing around naked) (and i say naked because most photos of aliens have em in no clothes. Or they're wearing a full body grey suit). I imagine that at first they don't believe humans are real because they don't show themselves often, only spotted by like a handful. Like "i saw this small pink creature by the river today! It had hair and eyes and hands and feet, and walked on it's legs!" "What the Eywa are you talking abt"

I imagine the first human they meet is a weirdo who's exceptionally brave. They walk up to a Na'vi and just start speaking in the most nonsensical Na'vi ever, that they managed to learn from observing them. They just follow them atound all day, keeps saying Na'vi phrases until whoever they're following just walks to camp and presents them and they're like "hey what is this."

Or, alternatively

Humans try staying away from them cause they're like twice their size and capable of making weapons, except for one person. This one spends their time following around a specific Na'vi and annoying them. They hum little tunes, they're spotted once and disapear behind the trees, they're daring enough to get ahold of their tools and try to study them. Then they start trying to communicate with them, little phrases yadda yadda. All while the Na'vi is going back home like "no mom, i promise i didn't loose my knife, this small pink creature stole it!"

They're like so fed up with the human and everyone around them cause they're like "what are you talking abt" so they're trying to get evidence of their existance. Eventually they do get them and present them to the tribe like "see!! I told you they were real!!!" And they're like "huh. Ok. What is this thing."

Dont have any idea how im gonna further w this but ye! Humans are way nicer and not run by a greedy corporation au

VERY EXCITING! I'm very sure you didn't fail anything. I want bOTH of those collecting dust drafts please and thank you.

No Rio and Avatar have been going hand and fucking hand lately lol. This idea is so fucking funny dude. I'm CACKLING. I absolutely adore the idea of humans being perceived as the aliens in any context and just how weird that would be, and it's not touched upon ENOUGH in Avatar because we come into the world when they have known each other. Hit us with that Grace and Mo'at developing friendship dude. I've always loved that and wanted it explored more.

I want someone to write this story. I think it will be comedy and drama

My Baby

Inspired by @emzerdoo artwork of recom! Paz Socorro

(I Hope i posted this right and it doesn't look funky)

(ENJOY!)

They say a mother can feel it in her when her child is near, it’s something instinctive, something that she creates, that they developed together throughout those long grueling but wonderful nine months, that it grows and strengthens throughout the years, binds them together for all their life.

Eywa wept for her child, the one who had lost his way and who’s will was broken by the cruel demons.

But she is the great mother, all-seeing and omnipresent. As soon as her lost son stepped foot onto her soil, she felt it. She also felt the sadness, fear and despair in his soul. She was all around him, and yet he still felt trapped. Abandoned by everyone, he thought, even her.

But she was there, she whispered into his ear, as the soldiers saw a big shadow loom over them.

All Eywa’s children find their way back to her eventually.

After all, the most dangerous thing about Pandora…

…is falling in love with her. “

Wanted to make a happy ending for the MJ (a.k.a brainwashed Spider) au 🤭 he’d been conditioned and manipulated for moths by the RDA to help them fight the war, but as soon as he stepped back into Pandorian wilderness, it all came back to him. The sky people couldn’t break his loyalty to his home and so, Eywa sent him a little help 🥰 you can’t destroy squads of soldiers on your own, after all~
