Tim felt guilty for it, but that morning, he couldn’t help but think that things would have been so much easier if the fear toxin was a little stronger. If Bruce had been entirely incapacitated, they could have taken charge of everything, handled all the decisions, and organized everyone where they needed to go.
As it was now, they were stuck with a Bruce who was insisting he was capable of the exact same quality of work he always was, even though anyone who took a good look at him could tell that he was struggling.

One of the saddest things about Anakin's downfall is that while he may have been angry at Obi-Wan for turning against him and Padmé for supposedly betraying him, in the end, he was the one who betrayed everyone he loved.

Anakin betrayed Padmé by destroying everything she fought for, he betrayed Obi-Wan by slaughtering the Jedi, and he also betrayed Ahsoka by going ahead with Order 66 even though she was accompanied by an army of clones, not to mention the enslaved and mind-controlled clones who aided in the destruction of the temple (although I'm not sure if Anakin was aware of the chips being used for this at the time).

After trying so hard to keep those people with him, selling his soul to the devil to save his wife, the one who truly hurt them was himself. It's so depressing to watch his moral compass dissolve throughout the story.

This also just reminded me of that bit from the ROTS novelization:

  • 99% of callout posts are bullshit and just petty personal drama someone is escalating to get even on a grudge. do not engage with these, do not freelance as a cop
  • DNIs do not work. accept this. internalize that people you don't like will see your posts and engage with them. this is unavoidable and the sooner you make peace with it the freer your mind will be. block the freaks and don't sweat the small stuff
  • building a tight knit circle of fellow weirdos who vibe with your particular quirks and taste is infinitely more rewarding and sustainable than chasing the biggest numbers
  • don't respond to bad-faith arguments or bad takes; just block people, blacklist tags, filter post content, and move on. don't feed the trolls (or the bigots)
  • don't hate-follow
  • don't tag your hate (ex. if you're posting about how much you hate a ship, don't tag it as that ship, etc.)
  • don't feel obligated to keep following someone who posts stuff that upsets/depresses/angers/bores you just because you know them really well, or because you're mutuals, or because you used to like what they post. following is nothing personal and neither is unfollowing
  • op doesn't know you; avoid parasocial relationships
  • don't pick fights or reblog posts just to disagree/argue
  • spread joy and positivity in your circles
  • disable anonymous asks

Homeschooling parents have such profound beef with homeschooled adults who speak negatively about being homeschooled that it becomes abundantly clear the homeschooling parents know they’re going their kid a disservice and are incredibly sensitive about it.

was reading about birth control methods and saw one that said "dont worry, this wont stop your periods!" which was fascinating wording to me. like dont worry? whos the sick fuck thats like "yeah i dont want to get pregnant but i ABSOLUTELY want to continue bleeding once a month thats very important to me."

When I came out as a lesbian at 13 (long story, am a bisexual man now) one of my dad’s friends gave me a gag gift shirt he had laying around that he was too embarrassed to wear. It said ‘FBI: FEMALE BODY INSPECTOR’ which is an absolutely terrible shirt for a middle aged man to walk around in but wildly funny for a teenage lesbian. And yes, I did wear it. Not to school but frequently at home.

Cody ever the problem solver when his forcefully (he forced it) assigned padawan is always being at risk of not being a padawan "What if.. we made our own order???" "Obi-wan how do we feel about a petition to get you a new master?" "do they have to be a jedi master? if we found like a master of illusions or a master smith would that work?" "how do you feel about being a clone? what does the force say about that?"

He cares very much and says the things Obi-wan only thinks out loud, even the dumb ones

"what did students do before chatgpt?" well one time i forgot i had a history essay due at my 10am class the morning of so over the course of my 30 minute bus ride to school i awkwardly used by backpack as a desk, sped wrote the essay, and got an A on it.

six months later i re-read the essay prior to the final exam, went 'ohhhh yeah i remember this', got a question on that topic, and aced it.

point being that actually doing the work is how you learn the material and internalize it. ChatGPT can give you a short cut but you won't build you the the muscles.

someone else said on a chatgpt post that usimg it to study is like using a forklift to lift weights.

The goal of weight lifting is not to have weights moved, the weights are a tool to develop your muscle mass and help improve and maintain your body's function.

The goal of homework is not to produce essays, the essays are a tool to develop your ability to take in information, process that information, and communicate your own ideas effectively.

Dont use a forklift in the gym. Dont use chatgpt in the brain gym.
