Not a good year, especially art-wise. The biggest reason being that, around April, I kept having issues with Photoshop CS5, which lead to big stretches of it not even starting up. This kinda threw a wrench in the work formula that I'd been using to blast through so much in 2024. Sure, losing investment in my main source of background noise didn't help, and having to yeet myself from two websites I uploaded to is a bummer, but it's hard to be motivated when you can't even be sure you'll have access to your primary work tool.

Thanks to a heads-up from a friend and some advice from a veteran, I got Clip Studio Paint at a very cheap price, which helped as a back-up (a bunch of the character sheets I drew for Painter Boss Paradise were done at least in part with CSP). But it wasn't easy to jump onto another art program, after I've been using and honing my process and methods with CS5 for about fifteen years.

Maybe one day there'll be an open-source illustration software, in the same vein as Blender for 3D and animation, that will seamlessly allow me to emulate Photoshop. But until then, I'll have to make do with what unstable state I have it in, and rely on CSP for back-up, while being thankful that I made the right choice in having Newgrounds as my main art page, at least while it doesn't implode (For the love of god, Mr. Fulp, don't let it be so. I'm trying by best to convice people to start uploading here more!!).
