i still think it would have been so fun if Shadows of Rose was actually about how the ceremony was successful and the girl called Rose living in the outside world was actually Eva, and that the "real" Rose was living in the realm of consciousness with Ethan.

Like, imagine the drama of Eva-Rose finally reaching Ethan, the father she has idolized and mourned all her life, only to find another girl already there with him in that idyllic little bubble of a memory.
