we talk a lot about carcinisation but i think it just seems weird and esoteric because crabs are already weird and esoteric to us. but the same is true of a lot of things that look like cats/dogs/foxes and deer/horses/zebras/antelopes/gazelles and bats and fish we’re just used to that convergent evolution form and we don’t think about how evolution keeps making the same type of guys
