Au where Xiang Fei has to take of baby Shen Yuan, and due to certain circumstances Shen Yuan is unnaturally well behaved and doesn't cry, which would be a blessing if he wasn't a baby, where crying is required...so Airplane came into the conclusion that he needs to ragebait the baby in order to know what's wrong and to his surprise is quite effective.

First, Shen Yuan and Xiang Fei become friends in real life.

It doesn't really change anything, with Shen Yuan spending most of his time insulting Xiang Fei's writing.

Then Xiang Fei finally finishes PIDW. He starts wiring some other stuff, which is much better now.

Shen Yuan is still unreasonably obsessed with PIDW (or, more precisely, with Luo Binghe). However, he starts branching out more. He starts reading some other novels by other authors.

And then Shen Yuan finds a new author he calls his least favorite.

And Xiang Fei

Is. So. Fucking. Jealous.

Because now when they meet, instead of berating Xiang Fei, all Shen Yuan does is talk about this damn author!

He says that their novel is so much worse than PIDW! The plot, the prose, the expectations!

And Xiang Fei hates it.

Shen Yuan is his hater!

And now he is spending his free time writing enraged essays in some other guy's comments!

Of course, he, Shen Yuan, doesn't ignore Xiang Fei or his writing. He is actually his proofreader now. He even has some good things to say about his writing.

BUT IT'S NOT THE SAME!

Xiang Fei is so irrationally angry.

He makes a sock puppet account to argue with Shen Yuan in the comments of this guy's novel. He pretends to protect this author, saying that "They are not so bad! Compared to the other shitty authors, like AIRPLANE SHOOTING TOWARDS THE SKY, for example."

He writes an anonymous letter to this author telling them to go kill themselves at least once a week.

He writes a new extra for PIDW where one of Luo Binghe's wives decides she wants another man, so she runs away, and he chases her, pins her down, and fucks her while growling "YOU ARE MINE" into her ear. He ends up deleting it.

Shen Yuan is blissfully ignorant of his friend's struggles. He is living his best hater's life.

Silly AU idea I just had:

Shen Yuan transmigrates into one of Bingge’s rarely mentioned cultivator wives. He doesn’t really want to stay in the palace and have to deal with the harem drama (or worse get outed as an imposter) but leaving on his own without proper preparation is recipe for disaster!

The PIDW world is a dangerous one, especially after the realm merging, and if he does get into any trouble it might lead to the protagonist rescuing him, which will naturally lead to papapa. Since Shen Yuan is still mentally a straight man (*cough*) doing that sort of thing would surely end up being super awkward (and again, might out him as an imposter) so he’s determined to avoid it.

Shen Yuan decides to use the tried and true Xianxia method of putting a character on a bus: entering secluded cultivation!

He’ll do some intense closed door cultivation for a few years, make sure he has a really good grasp on his new body’s cultivation, and then slip away quietly and go explore the world!

If everyone assumes he’s still in secluded cultivation after he’s left, that’s even better! While he can’t imagine Binghe or the other wives would notice him going missing, his servants might, and he doesn’t want to cause them any trouble.

So Shen Yuan finds a nice qi filled cave off the underground palace and gets to work. He cultivates… and cultivates… and cultivates some more.

Whenever he pauses for a moment and considers leaving, he thinks about how he might not be strong enough to deal with a some particular threat, or how his servants might not have given up checking on him just yet, or how it could be considered abandoning Binghe… and then sits back down and cultivates even more.

Then one day lighting repeatedly strikes the earth so hard it blasts straight through to the underground cavern, the whole palace shakes from the impacts, and Shen Yuan finds himself ascending to the heavens!

Congratulations! Congratulations! Congratulations!

Shen Yuan has cultivated himself straight into godhood!

Back in the palace everyone is in an uproar over the destruction, and Bingge learns that one of his wives has been ‘abducted’ by the heavens themselves! So much for a quiet unobtrusive exit…

i don't usually go for crack fic, but there's something really beautiful about fic that takes a cracky premise and plays it utterly straight, to the point of genuine human pathos that's only enhanced by the sheer ridiculousness of what's actually happening

They get paired up, and Shen Yuan is like, 'Huh! I Wonder why Luo Binghe got paired with me instead of with one of his Adoring Harem Members?" And Luo Binghe, who broke into school the night before to switch some names on the Excel file, giggles and says, "Shen Yuan 🥺👉👈 we've got to raise a baby together.... I want to be the Mother." And Shen Yuan (who just had a lesson on gender roles and how they weren't going to enforce them in this class) 100% goes "Sure 🙂😑🙂"

Anyway they've got their egg (named Zheng Yang) and Luo Binghe takes this egg-adpotion as a reasonable excuse to just... live at shen yuans place? Shen jiu would come home from a long day of being a TA at their local school and see his worst enemy jock Luo Binghe sitting on his couch and he CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

At school it becomes unbearable for Shang Qinghua (who was unfortunately paired up with Mobei-Jun who has no parenting ability whatsoever) that he ups and leaves because Luo Binghe has managed to get him and Shen Yuan to wear matching rings and a mock wedding to 'create a stable homelife for our child'.

On the very last night, Luo Binghe convinces Shen Yuan to let him sleep over and they spend most of the night talking about Zheng Yang, and their ideas for the future. Luo Binghe wakes up with a golden ray of sunshine in his face, Shen Yuan in his arms, and the smell of... cooking eggs wafting from the kitchen!!!!!!

Shen Jiu, in a fit of outrage at his baby brother being SEDUCED by a jock FRYS Zheng Yang and slowly eats it on a peice of toast.

Luo Binghe FLIPS. Full hysterics, clawing at the fridge where they stored their child, apologising profusely to a shocked Shen Yuan.

They come in in the morning to school holding another egg, which Luo Binghe dubbed Xin Mo, which he then uses later on to egg Shen Jius car in the teachers parking lot.
