Currently Working On

Right now, I’m working on my game, butterfly creek (@butterfly-creek), it’s a rpg game similar to undertale/deltarune, where you are in a town for the summer, but discover some strange things around the town. Please do check that out, it’s been lovely working on it.

I also have my website (https://controlled-by-cats.github.io/), which i just put random stuff on. it’s not really up to date or anything but it’s still cool i think.

Q&A (i dont really have enough Q’s to A, so some (all) of these may or may not be made up)

Q: What do you use to make art?

A: I use Krita, with a HUION WH1409 drawing tablet my grandma got me. I basically one use one brush from this pack (the “Retro Comic Pen”) for everything. It’s very versatile.

Q: what’s your canvas resolution?

A: 2000x2000px, (or 4000x4000px if i’m feeling silly) though I usually draw at a much smaller scale, and have several little drawings on one page.

Q: What can I send to your ask box?

A: Anything other than ig death threats probably. I don’t get many asks right now, so I’m likely to respond, and art requests are more than welcome!! i definitely need ideas lmao

Q: How did you get so so cool?

A: Skill.

@loop-lover-central has told me that apparently being near loop doesn’t canonically burn you, however i choose to believe that loop can decide to unleash the entire power of the fucking sun on you if they want. all at once point, blank range, directly into your face, completely and totally eviscerating you. It would look smth like this, i think:

I don’t care if this doesn’t make canonical sense. It works in my mind palace and that’s what counts.

that's a really cool isat-sona!! I love his design and that it used body crafting for such seemingly minor things, and their relationship with loop and particularly how he uses that to annoy Sif is awesome sauce

I have a question (two, actually) though:

- what's the purpose of "memory of schism" functionally? I feel like effectively every memory in the actual game has distinctly positive effects, so it doesn't make too much sense for that one to be a -20 to every stat? Certainly has good story telling associated with it tho!!

- If they hug Loop, wouldn't their head melt or something? bc loop is a star and stars are super hot or whatever? I feel like that'd be ouchy? what's your take on that?

Oh I love questions, but I'm going to be vague because the answers are technically spoilery for the game.

Ok, so for question 1, memory of schism is what I like to call a lore memory. It is not an actual memory you would want to use, but it provides lore or context for things. Siffrin does obtain memories like that in game, 2 of them if I remember correctly. One that actually does give Siffrin negatives in their stats and one that actually does nothing. Memory of schism is just a big ol "these two people will still have arguments and hurt each others feelings despite being friends."

And for question 2, Loop can be touched and be completely fine canonically. Siffrin sits near them constantly and never has any trouble, and they do make physical contact during a couple different points. Siffrin only describes them as warm.(Though the fandom, including me, have made a few jokes about sunburn happening when being too close too long.)

i can relate to siffrin because sometimes i lose my drawing tablet pen and that feels like im in a time loop looking for it. our struggles are equal in severity and mental toll.
