re: that recent post an interesting thing about being an any pronouns user is that most cishet people will hear that and immediately go "oh thank god I can just call you the normal girl pronouns" and many queer people will go "okay got it I'll use they/them and apologize if I ever fuck up and use a different one" and it's like. okay. you're actually both kind of whiffing it in different ways.

Thinking about how Alastor’s main goal could possibly be right in front of us.
So how about this: it is genuinely just for entertainment.
To go more into it, I’d like to think he legit has a main-character complex in that he wants his story and image to go his way. He pops up in hell as one of the fastest growing overlords, he has Zestial calling him an enigma, he loves having people theorize about him, he literally broad casts the screams of his victims. Through and through he is a serial killer with an absolute love for attention, drama, and the power trip of having magic,spells, and a bad ass demon form.
Alastor has always been a bit delusional in that he thinks of himself way smarter, stronger, and more important then he actually is. It’s actually a very consistent thing that the lack of attention in how HE wants to be viewed is a kind of sore spot. (Ex. When Carmella wasn’t worried at all about his absence, or when Alastor just kept mentioning his absence as if hinting about he wants to be guessed about).
He loves his title as the radio demon and the over all concept of being a demon. He finally gets the chance to be something that he is not and he is THRIVING. He plays into the demon persona more then any of the over lords, in his deal making and word play, his power, his want to be right there with the royal family in order to get closer to them, and his incessant need to show that he is in control by smiling all the time.
He hates things that don’t align with his vision for his story, reason why he dislikes Lucifer so much because Lucifer completely shatters his delusional vision he’s has for hell and what it means to be a demon.
