People who think Aang “forced” Katara to have more children until they had an airbender not only misunderstands Aang’s character, but also Katara’s because even if we do assume that they did have children until an airbender popped out, it still wouldn’t prove their relationship to be toxic in any way, because Katara would understand better then anyone Aang’s want to keep the airbending part of his culture alive, if anything she might even have been the more hiped about it.

Also if we are to go with this interpretation, it still doesnt make them bad parents, because you know that Aang only issue with his children not being airbenders is that he can’t compleatly share his culture with them, we know he tried to involve even his non-airbender children in it because they reference it in Korra.
One last thing, the “he forced Katara” is really funny when you consider that Kataang only has 3 kids in canon and the people who level this criticism often have Zutara with like 4+ kids, i don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, I myself am a fan of giving my faves a lot of kids, but glass houses man, glaaass houses…
