last year i decided to give therapy a try again, and the doctor asked for my deadname, blamed me having an inheritable autoimmune disorder on being trans and taking HRT, wanted to talk about my relationship with my father and was annoyed when i said i took about a dozen different psychiatric medications and all made me feel like shit; “oh, but i love [medication name], i wonder why it didn’t work for you”, she said
it’s such a classic, i still think about it and all the others who did more or less the same
