“omg he really killed that guy just for spilling wine on him that’s so overkill”
I think it’d be funny if he killed a guy with an axe because they tried to correct him after he said “axed” instead of “asked” during a conversation. he kills the guy and he goes like “nobody axed you. oh wait i did” and then just starts cackling.
Let me guess, the bellhop told you that one 🍎
Silly concept on how Alastor found out Lucifer can’t harm him🤣
What if Rosie actually asked our dear deer to rescue Lucifer after the power of friendship song? And what if, seeing the devil injured felt less pleasant than he mightve thought?
…or something. Yaoi, yee.
>:) :3 >:)
You know, I wonder if Rosie thought Alastor was asking for her soul at first. Similar to how Charlie and Vaggiɇ (since the name change, she’s getting the Biltzø treatment from now on) assumed the same thing when making deals with him.
“What’s in it for me? I don’t work for free. You want help? Well, you know the fee!”
“I will not reward a snake like you!”
“You’ll watch them die unless you do!”
“Liar! You wouldn’t dare!”
“Quid Pro Quo, it’s only fair.”
“You really are a demon, pet.”
The whole scene, she was incredibly reluctant to give Alastor what he wanted in return for his assistance. Which is why I think she was acting on the assumption he was using HER idea of a fee.
He needed her help to raise the ranks of Hell, and he paid the highest price possible for it. And now she needs his help for whatever secret reason that may be. So it stands to reason the same would be required of her now the agreement was flipped on its head.
But then—
“You knew my game the day we met.”
JUST LIKE THAT, with a show of his broken cane and a reference to their old song, Rosie’s smiling. And not even reluctantly. She’s hook, line, and sinker.
He isn’t asking for her soul, he just wants his powers without the added strings of indentured servitude. In fact, he’s implicitly offering to keep doing the exact same thing as before, albeit with less leverage on her side.
Whatever her master plan is, he’s all in. The cards may be out her hands, but he doesn’t mind letter her peak at his.
They’re scheming together now, your honour!
a real go-getter, if you will
Thank you S2…..🌹📻
When joining a new fandom, do you go out of your way to do “required reading”? I.e. do you seek out the most popular and reputable fanfiction/headcanons by highly regarded users and incorporate it as your fanon?
I do that deliberately, as a must-have step
I do that passively (e.g. check it out only if others share it/I like it)
I don’t do it because I am not really interested
I don’t do it deliberately, out of principle
My fandom does not have fics/headcanons considered “required reading”
I adopt my friends’ headcanons, but not popular users’ headcanons
Other
This is brought on by me seeing a pretty popular tweet where the OP lamented that they found a fic that does not follow the “accepted fanon” and contradicts another, seminal work of fanfiction by an esteemed fan author (but not the source material, from my understanding). Which both baffled and fascinated me.
This is definitely baffling.
There is no such thing as accepted fanon. To even insinuate that there is such a thing is to attack all others who disagree with some bozo’s popular idea.
There is canon - and some elements of canon can be up for interpretation by individual lenses, depending on how clearly or obscurely those elements are presented by the original creator.
And then there are personal headcanons. Everybody has their own and none are better than anyone else’s.
There is no such thing as a ‘reputable headcanon’. To what would that even be comparing itself to? There is no valid yardstick. The only thing in existence to measure an idea to is canon, and canon is many times subjected to the lens of the beholder. Even assuming canon is black and white, a headcanon by definition is one person’s favorite idea of an unwritten element in the canon universe. (Actually it doesn’t even have to be in the canon universe.) 'Someone’s favorite idea’ cannot be compared to anything, and has no reputability. Because it’s a made up fantasy. The phrase 'reputable headcanon’ literally makes no sense.
The only way an idea could be reputable is if the person went to great lengths to rigorously prove, based on canon data, that the concept in question makes so much in-universe sense as to be very likely. And even then, it’s just still a fantasy.
There are most popular headcanons and fanfics, to be sure. And there can be highly regarded authors. But 'most popular’ and 'highly regarded’ have nothing to do with reputable, because highly regarded mainly just means popular. And popular mostly means prolific. None of those have any relation to canon accuracy, which is what reputable has to mean. (Because in the context of this topic, there is no other valid meaning.)
My most highly regarded fanfic recommendations and authors are nowhere near most people’s top 5 popular lists. My most highly regardeds have what I consider to be a high level of canon accuracy, as seen through my lens. Because canon is mutable and my canon is not your canon, when it comes to personality and character.

At what point do you think Miraculous started having problems?

Okay, so, like, I was fully willing to give this show a pass until the sentipeople nonsense as of season 4 and the abuse apologia in the season 5 finale. HOWEVER, just because I was willing to let all the other nonsense slide until the show asked me to let way too much stuff slide, doesn’t mean it wasn’t there.
Like, the consistency problem has been there since the start, as has the main relationship being toxic. But I was willing to overlook these problems originally because I thought, well, I bought into the idea that this show was the best bet to getting a new superhero show with a female lead.
