my art school seems to have a guy who teaches “art history” (european(+postcolonial american) art history) (required class) and a guy who teaches art history (of everywhere other than europe and also a little europe) (elective classes). both are white.

so like. we’re required to take a class taught by a guy who gets to specialize in white people art

and then, if we maybe kinda feel like it, we can take classes taught by a guy who is a generalist keeping up with the art of everyone else on earth.

i have not looked into this thoroughly to make sure im not overblowing the issue. hence why this is a rant on my hydeblog

Surprised how many folks want me to put my age in my bio. Buddy you’re lucky i’m telling you im 18+. Are you gonna treat me different if i was 18.1 years old or if i was 99 years old? Would I even wanna experience that different treatment? I’m not changing a stupid little number in my bio every year. Is the next number you want gonna be my zip code?

i remember back on mncrft when i was 13 folks would assume i was in my mid-twenties for some godforsaken reason (The reason being was prolly that they were in their mid-twenties and they saw me as a person like them and not a 13 year old. So! Same reason that men on the internet often thought i was a man too!) lol what if people on the internet now think im in my mid-40s or something. if so then im sorry to disappoint the milflovers anyway oddly enough the only people that flirted with me on mc were the creeps who knew damn well i was a fair bit younger than them and on account of me being 13 i didnt push them away. which i guess was why they did it so i dont see how letting anyone know my exact age could protect me or anyone else!
