kaleidoscope-vol2:
Once again, the ONLY time they become vehemently against romantic relationships on The Pitt is when Mel and Langdon are brought up. Suddenly, it’s “This isn’t Grey’s Anatomy. There’s not going to be people hooking up in the on-call room”. No one ever asked for that and you know it 🙄. Meanwhile on The Pitt:
- Attending Robby had a relationship with his resident, Collins, and got her pregnant and she had an abortion.
- Intern/wannabe surgeon (now junior resident) Santos is hooking up with surgical resident Garcia while living with intern Whitaker and it’s being brought up during trauma scenes. (and this whole thing is stripped straight from Grey’s. Intern/wannabe surgeon Cristina hooks up with surgical attending Burke.)
- McKay’s ex drama was featured last season and first thing we hear from her this season is how she needs to get laid.
- Med student Javadi spends the first season salivating over nurse Mateo and a patient comments on it.
They set the foundation that Langdon’s marriage was on the rocks and the only thing Mel’s sister was concerned about was if she found a boy to kiss. Then, they proceeded to have those two characters gravitate towards each other. But for some reason (we know the reason), it’s preposterous that people see the romantic potential between the two UNRELATED characters that formed a real bond last season that’s based on respect and communication.
