this is what the trojan war looks like in my head
we only hear about sarpedon killing tlepolemus in book 5 and alcmaon in book 12 and i dont think either of those are the domino that push him over so it must have been something he did before the iliad and zeus doesn’t tell us WHY he’s fated to die so i don’t know what triggers the domino effect initially
and of course the fall of troy knocks down agamemnon (and agamemnon knocks down the mycenaean era) but i am not thinking about him at the moment
just wrote the sentence “Sarpedon’s arc as another Achilles is ended by Patroclus’ arc as another Achilles (in turn ended by Hector’s arc as another Achilles)” and really loving the contagion of achilles-ness and ruin at the moment
