Very well done and detailed 8-bit tunes, you can hear the love for the original record incredibly well. I might even like it more than the original in some aspects. It even made That's What I Get sound great!
Favorite track: That's What I Chipped.

I met Inverse Phase at a conference that was completely unrelated to the demoscene. I had zero idea who he was at the time. To me he was just another computer enthusiast. After having a blast with him at the con, he handed me this album and I was floored. <3 u my dude.

Another year another holiday, this is a brand new relisting of my dual splatter LP (4 sides) of the entirety of Pretty Eight Machine SE, which originally shipped in 2022. If you previously ordered P8M from me on vinyl, this is the same one, don't order a second one thinking it's different or you'll be disappointed (or hey maybe you won't because you want a second one or a gift? I dunno). I'm done sending these to record stores; Some graciously accepted it (thank you!) and others decided to reneg or hem and haw on the deal, MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN because I'm oh so tired talking to stores that want commission sales instead of outright purchases, some of them were great but it's been hard hitting up the last few for my commission money. I just want to put these things in loving homes and catch up on my bills and repair my house and support Bloop Museum if there's anything left over.
If you sell on discogs, please let me know in the comments when you order so I can cancel your order with no refund. If you are not, please go to the people selling this record for an obvious ripoff price on discogs and report them. If you are discogs, WHY HAVEN'T YOU TAKEN IT DOWN YET COME ON GUYS
As for an actual description that is TOTALLY not half-recycled from last time, the art on this record is (re)done by yours truly, I think the gatefold came out just gorgeous. There's a nice insert with the story of each track, the album itself, and even the vinyl. The pocket contains an EXTRA download code because I'm too lazy to take them out, so give it to your friend or mom if you want, use it as rolling paper, I dunno. Nice black inners. Poly bag. Records will be shipped WITH INSURANCE and I do my best to protect against corner damage.
I am nearly out of P8M shirts, so I took the merch item down, but there are a few. If you have any interest in one and include your shirt size in the comments, I'll dig through what I have and contact you (that means you have to check your email). If I have your size and color, maybe I can ship one with the record if you decide you want to buy the shirt.

This is Pretty Hate Machine, originally re-imagined in its entirety on eight different 8-bit systems, so I named it "Pretty Eight Machine".
Sound configurations include: SID/6581 (Commodore 64), POKEY (Atari 800), straight 2A03 (NES), AY/SCC+ (MSX+Metal Gear 2 or Snatcher cartridge), SN76489 (Sega Master System), 2A03+VRC6 (Famicom+Castlevania 3 cartridge), LR35902 (Game Boy), and OPLL (MSX-MUSIC or Japanese Sega Master System).
This new Special Edition brings that total to ten, but I think we'll keep the name. =] New sound configurations are AY-3-8910/YM2149 (MSX, Intellvision, Vectrex) track and also my first dual-system track featuring NES and Atari 2600 at the same time.
The album represents the culmination of so many things:
- the recent celebration of Pretty Hate Machine's anniversary
- the recent release of the remastered PHM
- my fandom and love for Nine Inch Nails
- my love of old-school computers and game systems
- a hope that Trent Reznor (who likes vintage synths, tech, and gear) and Rob Sheridan (and his pixelated avatar) will enjoy it
- pushing myself to compose for systems I've never written music on
A lot of thought, love, blood, sweat, and tears went into this album. I encourage you to explore the info links next to the track names to understand the history behind each one.

SPECIAL THANKS:
This album was kickstarted by 162 people in mid-2011, and the idea to do an entire NIN album came from a few friends scattered across the country several months prior. The kickstarter would not have succeeded without the kind/generous donations (and promotional assistance) from:
Danny Baranowsky
Jillien Conneen
Rick Damigella
Mike Dhavale
James Godwin
Tanya Hopkins
Charles Margolis
Troy D Patterson
Michael Roberts
Ben VanDenburg
Without help from the following people -- whether they're individuals that have fed my interest in NIN, helped during the album's infancy, or been on my listening team -- this album probably would not have been possible: Cindy Au (KS project leader), Chuck/Charlie/Charles Brinkley (got me started), Phil Bordelon (consulting), Cleon "LJ" Chick (messing with artwork with me), Matt Dunphy (everything ETS & NIN Hotline), Haemish Edgerton (CDs), Eric Fermin (Rebel Waltz support), David Gray (help at WDC), Grant "Stemage" Henry (listening team), Dave Lister (conception/support/sales), Eric "Kethinov" Newport (listening team, NINremixes), Carlson "Mad-Gear" Stevens (conception/support/sales), Dirk Tiede (conception/support). ALL OF MY FRIENDS, FAMILY, AND SUPPORTERS. Also, big thanks to Trent Reznor for the obvious inspiration and Rob Sheridan for permission to parody his artwork.
This album was produced at a turbulent time in my life. Again. there are so many individuals that have supported me. My parents and family, my girlfriend Jill, my friends in general....if I have forgotten your name, please forgive me and accept my thanks.
A perfect blend of Street Fighter and Mega Man, done by a buddy of mine that knows both of them intimately. A must-listen for parody/chiptune heads. Inverse Phase
Into anime? Similar to my pop mix albums, here's a great collection of 20(!) tracks from anime openings and credit sequences on the Famicom/NES, featuring a bunch of different expansion chips. Inverse Phase

This soundtrack currently stands out most in the body of soundtrack work by Trent & Atticus, it's also a LOT of content. It's fascinating to see what they chose to do with a live orchestra and era-appropriate musical styles.
A great listen for focusing, or for background (especially to drown out the hell of living around other people in an urban hellscape). dysamoria
