Le funeral doom metal finlandais est pratiquement un genre à lui tout seul tant les groupes ont une approche reconnaissable, aussi atmosphérique que dévastatrices. Ce n'est pas Arche qui fera défaut à cette réputation. En l'occurrence, ce duo est influencé par le monde religieux : ça transparaît dans son patronyme — "ἀρχή", le commencement et le commandement, en somme le pouvoir divin — et son premier album. Transitions est un parcours vers le sublime : les nuages lourds se dissipent. Magistral.

Stygian it is. «If this album is not played at my funeral», i can live with that. I'll enjoy it now. Hauntingly beautiful! Avoid listening to it at night though. In Dante's Divine Comedy, he passes through the gate of Hell, which has an inscription "Abandon all hope, ye who enter." These cheerful words are worth adding here too. How?? ...do you bear such a concept and mastery of orchestration in your early 20s?! Quebec's winters, duh. Epic saga, infinite journey 🖤
