Reflex Gun 03:04
Red is born and red is asking Fields wild in wind like water Fires burn with rage and fever Surrounded in the final hour It’s what i want It's always there You lie to me but I don’t care And tell me it was never there But I see the backwards in your stare Now the hands are crossed And bleeding over what remains Anxious hearts that are open And deserving Three speeds to get you fine Five speed to take you half the time They said you were landing so i fall Now I’m on the west side Electric air breathes free inside The city sleeps and never dies To peace the secrets that we find
2.
Do we shy to find the trying eyes I to them lie I hear them fall We all live to fight the war inside Of our lives And shoot through the sand If there is justice in the world we live Will it help us Or can we only dream of love? We are it all But we’re not there Yet we live there And we can’t bear That it’s coming back around It’s everything we see The only thing we need Still we can only dream
3.
Throw me out into the street Bring me new life I can feel Teach me wisdom I can show Take me places that I wanna know I got to go Walk the endless night Feel it twist and turn See it get more wild and random In its behavior Sing me everything you learned From all the lies you tried Tell me all the words I need them One by one Legacy don’t turn my lover crazy When the day is done And the night has come Running scared through mystic streets I feel the ancients blood flow through me And all the lives that they've lost to me I feel the ancients run right through me
4.
Here we are and can’t we help it The night chill I can feel They’re all inside my heart Here we are and that explains it I’m such a liar It tears me up and torn apart I’m in a crowd I can’t find it cry out loud So if I may hide this ‘Cause you can’t understand I would tell you If what I need’s a hole inside my head Can’t think to say Games I’ve forced upon myself get in the way Damn you You’re right
5.
Set down with nothing to hide Cast out in the cold black rain Stripped down all sense of pride We feel them but don’t know where they are They want nothing more You want nothing less We are the whores and we’re already dead In the distance you hear us cry On the verge of nothing Out into the ever We stand up on the cliffs And it’s now or never And now we ride Through October streets to hide From the fear that we find In each others closing out You take me for a ride What do I take you for? A dive
6.
Got Jesus on the wall If I can I cannot But these looks never fall Defaced My Jesus on the wall All these questions Find doubt Destination on the road that I ran out Words I used to know Drowned inside my soul Sure to find some cult And the fears that hang on to Still eyed dead young girl She’s asking where’s the world And I’m hoping with you tonight Defied can’t make it right ‘Cause I tried can’t get there on my own Need your ability alright Don’t do this it’s Dead air wind tonight Anyone Who is one Who’s got to fill Cheap shoes All then forgot Could lose
7.
If we could find a way If only we could find something to say If we could live today For better things we’d only have to wait Low, long, low long Even though I know it’s wrong? If we could hold on to Hold on to all the things that we thought Were true But I’m still holding on To something I don’t even want at all Impaired but barely dead Dying most inside my head Life suspended by a thread From this magnetic hospital bed Trapped behind My own mind Forced to leave Myself inside My fingers feel along dark walls and over Damaged floors In desperate hope and search of escape through any door
8.
Arms out the angel faces Quick to understand You treat me like a rebel In the palm of your hand Night falls in lower places For the refugee You treat me like an astronaut Who thinks that he is free But I don’t know You treat me like a lonely friend Who wants to come and go And I can’t Can’t get it right You treat me like the devil locked with God Who’s losing everything at once But we are what we are Where are we Repeating over and over And over again

Destination 03:55
Tires move across the pavement Still hot from the setting sun Voices all corral and confuse themselves To sound like one Empty bodies lost in dreams Fire engines tear and scream Smaller engines hiss and purr While cowards mumble out their words Now the mind is caught between A game it was not trained to play Expectation, invitation Gold and silver line the way Pictures of our sordid future Illustrate our slow dissuture World around us lost in time Watch me now You can’t catch me Now we’re To be Beyond repair

about

Get High were a short-lived but deeply felt presence in the 1990s Boston hardcore scene, blending raw urgency with a melodic sensibility that set them slightly apart from their peers. Rooted in the community-first ethos of New England hardcore, the band’s songs carried equal parts intensity and vulnerability, reflecting a scene defined as much by emotional honesty as physical energy. Their debut LP, released in 1999 on Big Wheel Recreation (recorded at Salad Days Studio), captured that moment with clarity and conviction. Though their time was brief, members of Get High went on to play in influential bands including American Nightmare and Dropkick Murphys, extending the band’s legacy well beyond its original run.
