Cool and fairly simple game, my only criteria would be that the enemies often spawned in the player. Liked the art-style

This game is great! It feels well-polished and is quite the addictive experience. The controls were fluid, the loop mechanic was implemented very well (the weapon swapping is super neat!), and there weren't any bugs. The sound effects were also well chosen, they fit very well. Now, there is a bit of a problem, and that's the fact that the game gets kind of easy after a while. The initial blitz is the most difficult part.

Thankfully the experience is enjoyable enough where the experience is still enjoyable (I got to Level 7 on all nightmare levels before going out of my way to lose.), and also this is a game jam and a game that gives you power-ups infinitely, so there's no surprise that it's this way, and that's perfectly alright!

Overall, this is an excellent little experience!

Hi!
Nice touch that we swapped weapons regularly, this brings interesting spikes of interest every so often. I had some lag issue when transitionning from a level to another. Nothing too bothering.
I did not understand the use for rings. With some more time, you could have explored power ups with negative effect (I sometimes had the choice between +120% damage and +35% damage, with no counter balancing effect, this felt like a miss!)

I like the idea of constantly being tossed into different levels with different abilities. Nice job! :) Having two spells per level is also a neat touch. It felt nice to mix 'n' match them as I went.

The things that confused me were the gold rings. Firstly, it's not entirely clear if they're collected automatically or not, and secondly, I am not sure if there was a shop where you could spend those rings? Do they simply affect the chance of getting buffs of a higher tier?

Apart from that, I'd like to see more different upgrades and variety in general, but we all know how game jams go. :D Good job and all hail the big baby!

This game is awesome. The art is great, audio is clean and the game mechanics feel snappy and satisfying. Only problem i had is during the nightmares change it lagged a little bit. Great work!
